Palm Activated Drug Delivery Device
Disclosed is a device for the parenteral delivery of a medication, such as a drug. The device includes upper and lower housings in which the upper housing is configured to move relative to the lower housing as a result of application of an external force to permit the user of the device to control the rate at which the drug is administered.
Drug delivery device with pneumatic power pack
A drug delivery device configured to provide a dose of medicament is disclosed. The drug delivery device includes a main housing, a syringe arranged in the main housing, and a pneumatic power pack arranged in the main housing. The pneumatic power pack includes a pressurized gas source storing pressurized gas, a valve for the pressurized gas source, a sleeve having an inner wall, and a plunger. The sleeve is configured to receive pressurized gas released from the pressurized gas source. The plunger is in sliding gas-tight engagement with the inner wall of the sleeve. Upon activation of the valve, the valve releases the pressurized gas, and the released pressurized gas flows into the sleeve and propels the plunger in a distal direction with respect to the sleeve and the syringe, so as to eject medicament from the syringe.
Safety-enhanced needle-free injector
A method for needle-free injection and a needle-free injector device are provided. The method includes automatically injecting an injectable into a surface in contact with the needle-free injector in response to a skin compression parameter of an end of the needle-free injector. A needle-free injector device (102) includes predefined structures formed on it to inject an injectable through a non-porous material. The predefined structures engage an airlock mechanism such that an airlock in the non-porous material and operably coupled to the airlock mechanism can only be opened and closed to enable needle-free injection through the non-porous material without disrupting an integrity of the non-porous material by the needle-free injector device. Other functions, embodiments and methods for using and programming the needle-free injector device are also provided.
Palm activated drug delivery device
A device configured to administer a medication can comprise a lower housing that includes a housing latch. The device can further comprise a needle guard that is movable relative to the lower housing along a first direction from a first position to a second position so as to expose a needle, and an upper housing supported relative to the lower housing. The upper housing can be configured to move with respect to the lower housing along a second direction from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. The housing latch can releasably interfere with the upper housing when the upper housing is in the pre-use position so as to prevent the upper housing from moving toward the dispensed position, and the movement of the needle guard toward the second position, causes the interference to be removed, thereby allowing the upper housing to move toward the second position.
Systems and Methods for Automatic Intravenous Injections
Systems and methods for automatic intravenous injection in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a method for automatically injecting a needle into a vein. The method includes steps for identifying an injection position using a first set of one or more sensors, positioning an injection mechanism at the identified injection position, and vertically inserting a needle until entry in a vein is detected using a second set of one or more sensors.
Body contour adaptable autoinjector device
An injector for delivering a therapeutic product may include a base having a flexible surface that conforms to various body contours of a patient and defines one or more an injection chambers. The injector may have a height that is substantially less than its width, thereby defining a low profile, which provides a larger more stable base that can pinch or stretch the skin in a controlled manner. The larger base can also accommodate larger volumes via multiple injection chambers and/or large combined primary containers.
MEDICINE INJECTION TIP, HAND PIECE, AND SKIN TREATMENT DEVICE
Disclosed are a medicine injection tip that may smoothly insert and discharge a needle into and from skin, a hand piece, and a skin treatment device.
Mixing and/or reconstitution system and respective method
A mixing and/or reconstitution system reduces the possibility of user error and provides a well mixed and/or reconstituted drug in a short time. The system comprises a device containing a first material within a first chamber, a housing, and a plunger, the plunger comprising a second chamber containing a second material, wherein one of the first and the second material is a fluid, and a movable element with an electric, magnetic, or paramagnetic characteristic, wherein the second chamber is initially closed; and a base unit comprising a recess for accommodation of the device, a control unit, and an electromagnetic unit which is adapted to produce an electromagnetic field penetrating the recess, wherein the control unit can electrically operate the electromagnetic unit such that the element contained in the second chamber moves in a direction of the device determined by the electromagnetic field and fluidly communicates the first and second chambers.
Devices, systems and methods for medicament delivery
A method includes moving an actuation lock of a medical injector from a first position to a second position. The actuation lock has an extended portion disposed between a shoulder of a housing and the base when the actuation lock is in the first position. The extended portion is spaced apart from the base when the actuation lock is in the second position. A distal end portion of a base, which is movably coupled to an end portion of the housing, is placed into contact with a body. The base is actuated after the placing to release an energy from an energy storage member within the housing to produce a force to move a needle from a first needle position to a second needle position. At least a portion of the needle extends through the base when the needle is in the second needle position.
DEVICE FOR DELIVERING MATERIAL BY APPLYING OPTIMUM INJECT CYCLE
The present invention relates to a device for injecting a material, the device comprising the laser generation unit generates laser beams at a repetition rate of 15 to 25 Hz such that an inject material is injected so as to penetrate into skin through the surface of skin. As described above, a device for delivering a material by applying an optimum inject cycle according to the present invention is advantageous in that a material can be injected at an optimum inject cycle and made to penetrate into skin without a needle, thereby improving the penetration efficiency and minimizing the residual material which has failed to penetrate.
