An injection system comprising a syringe barrel; a first sealing element and a second sealing element moveably disposed in the syringe barrel; an injection chamber between them; a puncture element extending from the first sealing element to deliver an injection agent from the injection chamber into a biological space, wherein one or more of the syringe barrel, the first or the second sealing element are configured to prevent proximal movement of the first sealing element past a pre-selected location, while allowing the second sealing element to come in contact with the first sealing element, the system is configured such that, when a force is applied on the second sealing element in a distal direction, in response to a first opposing force, the puncture element advances and in response to a second opposing force, the puncture element remains stationary and the injection agent is conveyed through the puncture element.

A drug delivery device configured to provide a dose of a first medicament followed by a dose of a second medicament is disclosed. The device includes a main exterior body and an interior body. The device further includes a dual-chamber reservoir with (i) a first chamber holding the first medicament and (ii) a second chamber holding the second medicament. The device also includes a needle and a plunger. After activation of the device, the plunger is configured to (i) move the dual-chamber reservoir a given distance in a distal direction with respect to the interior body so that a distal end of the needle extends out of the interior body and (ii) after moving the dual-chamber reservoir the given distance, move in the distal direction with respect to the dual-chamber reservoir so as to eject from the needle the first medicament followed by the second medicament.

The medicament filling system (30) comprises a main housing (40) having an air pump (42), a vial adapter (44) that is configured to engage a vial (10) containing medicament, the vial adapter (44) being in communication with the air pump (42), a syringe housing (46) that carries a syringe (70), the syringe housing (46) being in selective communication with the vial adapter (44) and the delivery device (20), and a valve (60) that locks and unlocks movement of a plunger (72) in the syringe (70).

The present disclosure relates to an assisted injection device for injecting a composition contained in a medical container. The injection device includes a body adapted to receive a medical container in a fixed position relative to the body. The injection device includes a spring-loaded piston rod translationally movable inside the body between a proximal rest position allowing inserting of the medical container in the body and a distal operative position wherein the piston rod engages a stopper of the medical container and pushes the stopper in the medical container. The injection device includes a blocking system comprising a locking member mounted on the body and configured to engage the piston rod. The piston rod includes a proximal end extending out of the body and configured to be pushed by the user in a distal direction to accelerate the movement of the piston rod to the distal operative position.

A plunger for a syringe comprises a stem portion with a longitudinally extending groove that receives an extension portion. The extension portion sits at least partially within the groove when a space-saving, collapsed configuration is desired. When a user is ready to elongate the plunger and/or use a syringe containing the plunger, the extension portion can slide within the groove to lengthen the plunger until a locking mechanism is engaged.

A distal reusable power pack is detachably arranged with the proximal disposable part such that the delivery member cover has an extension position in which the delivery member cover is extended in the proximal direction to cover a medicament delivery member of the medicament container, and a retraction position in which the delivery member cover is retracted in the distal direction to expose said medicament delivery member. The distal reusable power pack can have a power unit, a rotational drive unit and a plunger unit, where the rotational drive unit is powered by the power unit and is configured to move the plunger unit upon being triggered.
