System and method for determination of connected neurostimulation leads

The types of electrode leads that are connected to an implantable medical device are determined based on electrical parameters that are measured at the electrodes that are positioned on the leads. The different types of known electrode leads have different physical electrode arrangements that impact the measured electrical parameters. Properties in the measured electrical parameters that are indicative of the physical arrangements of electrodes of known types of electrode leads are utilized to determine the types of leads that are connected to the implantable medical device.

High-voltage catheters for sub-microsecond pulsing

Flexible catheters adapted to be inserted into a body to deliver high-voltage, fast (e.g., microsecond, sub-microsecond, nanosecond, picosecond, etc.) electrical energy to target tissue may include a plurality of conductive layers, that may be coaxial. These catheters and method of using them to treat tissue are configured to reduce or avoid arcing.

Integrity verification system for testing high channel count neuromonitoring recording equipment

Methods of performing diagnostic tests on electroencephalography (EEG) recording devices comprising at least one stimulator coupled with a plurality of EEG electrode recording channels and corresponding recording channel connectors are performed by a test fixture comprising a plurality of resistors coupled with one or more of the EEG electrode recording channels and corresponding recording channel connectors. The methods include performing an impedance test for determining if each EEG recording channel of the EEG recording device has a predefined impedance, performing a channel uniqueness test for each EEG recording channel, performing a test for verifying the state of a switch of the stimulator of the EEG recording device, and performing a test for verifying connector IDs of the recording channel connectors connecting the EEG electrodes to respective EEG recording channels.

Methods, systems and apparatuses for delivering electrical or other therapy in the vicinity of the eye, comprising eyepieces having a plurality of electrodes that are placed on the eyelid. Some examples are just eyepieces having a periphery that partly surrounds the eye, other examples fully surround the eye or include a temporal portion configured to extend to the temple of the user. Some examples also include a field that covers the eye to take the form of a goggle. Numerous configurations for power supply and therapy output are discussed.

Described is a low voltage, pulsed electrical stimulation device for controlling expression of klotho, a useful protein, by tissues. Also described are methods of enhancing expression of klotho in cells.

NEUROSTIMULATOR TRIALING PATIENT ALERT SYSTEM

In some examples, a medical system includes one or more trialing leads implanted within a patient, one or more sensors configured to determine a value for a sensed parameter indicative of an activity level of the patient, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry may be configured to receive the value from the one or more sensors, determine whether the value is outside a threshold range, and—in response to determining that the value is outside the threshold range—generate information indicating a status of the one or more trialing leads. In some examples, processing circuitry may be configured to output an alert warning that patient movement could dislodge, or has already dislodged, the one or more trialing leads.

METHOD OF TREATING TISSUE

A method of and apparatus for treating tissue wherein a handpiece with a cartridge of motor driven needles is placed in contact with tissue. The motor is energized to drive the needles. Energy is applied energy to the needles. Tissue impedance at the start of treatment is measured. Tissue impedance at the end of treatment is measured. The operator is then notified that corrective action is needed if the measured ending impedance is higher than the measured starting impedance indicating the needles are not inserted into the tissue.
