20230211906 · 2023-07-06 · ·

A method for producing a carbon dioxide-containing hydrogel article including (1) to (3). (1) Preparing an article including a hydrogel that contains a water-soluble polymer, a cross-linking agent for the water-soluble polymer, and water, wherein a loss tangent of the hydrogel at 1 Hz in dynamic viscoelasticity measurement is 0.46 or greater. (2) Adjusting a composition of an ambient atmosphere of the article including the hydrogel such that a carbon dioxide gas concentration in the ambient atmosphere becomes 10 vol% or greater, and sealing the article including the hydrogel inside a package. (3) Making cross-linking of the hydrogel proceed until the loss tangent, at 1 Hz in dynamic viscoelasticity measurement, of the hydrogel in the article including the hydrogel becomes less than 0.46, and thereby obtaining a carbon dioxide-containing hydrogel article sealed inside the package.

Disclosed are methods of increasing blood circulation at a target site of a subject comprising exposing a target site of the subject to an alternating electric field for a period of time, the alternating electric field having a frequency and field strength, and exposing the target site of the subject to a vasodilator, wherein the vasodilator increases blood circulation at the target site of the subject. Disclosed are methods of maintaining or decreasing temperature at a target site of a subject comprising exposing a target site of the subject to an alternating electric field for a period of time, the alternating electric field having a frequency and field strength, and exposing the target site of the subject to a vasodilator, wherein the vasodilator increases circulation at the target site of the subject, wherein increased circulation maintains or decreases temperature at the target site.

Artificial Intelligence Enabled Control of Hemodynamics in Surgery Patients

Systems and methods for artificial intelligence enable control of hemodyamics in an individual are provided. A number of embodiments use a phenotypic response surface (PRS) that describes a physiological response to a vasopressor and/or a vasodilator to guide administration of the vasopressor and/or vasodilator. Various embodiments continually update the PRS based on changes in physiological response to the vasopressor and/or vasodilator.
