Disclosed is a self-invertible inverse latex comprising an aqueous phase containing: a) a crosslinked anionic polyelectrolyte (P) including: —at least one first monomer unit derived from 2-methyl-2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl) amino] 1-propanesulfonic acid in the form of a free or partially or totally salified acid; —at least one second monomer unit derived from at least one monomer selected from the elements of the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, 2-carboxyethyl acrylic acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid, 3-methyl 3-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl) amino] butanoic acid, the carboxylic function of said monomers being in the free, partially salified or totally salified acid form; and —at least one third monomer unit derived from a polyethylenic crosslinking monomer (AR); b) ethylenediamine disuccinic acid in the form of trisodium salt.

Compositions and topical formulations comprising a PPAR agonist complex comprising glyceryl linoleate, glyceryl linolenate, xymenynic acid, and Pterocarpus marsupium bark extract are described herein. Methods of inducing skin barrier repair, increasing the biosynthesis of barrier lipids and proteins in the skin, stimulating hair growth, treating acne and combinations thereof utilizing the composition and topical formulations are also provided herein.

Topical delivery systems are described. The topical delivery systems include at least one skin care active and nanocellulose in a cosmetic composition. It has been surprisingly found that the presence of nanocellulose in a cosmetic composition enhances or regulates the penetration of skin care actives. The present application further describes a cosmetic composition comprising a skin care active and nanocellulose and use thereof.

Polypeptides belonging to the family of late proteins of the cornified envelope (LCE), fragments of the polypeptide, isolated nucleotide sequences encoding the polypeptides, and cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical compositions containing such polypeptides are described. The polypeptides have cosmetic and/or therapeutic use to reinforce the barrier function of the epidermis, prevent and/or treat the signs of skin dryness and prevent and/or treat disorders of the barrier function or the weakening of the epidermis.

Described herein are personal care compositions that may include from about 0.1 to about 5 wt. % of a polysaccharide; from about 0.01 to about 12 wt. % of a fatty alcohol; and from about 0.5 to about 7 wt. % of a post-biotic blend, wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the personal care composition. A moisturizing lotion composition includes water and propylene glycol having a concentration of 21.0 to 37.5 wt % of the moisturizing lotion composition. In addition, the moisturizing lotion composition includes aloe vera having a concentration of 0.50 to 4.0 wt % of the moisturizing lotion composition, and vervain extract having a concentration of 0.50 to 4.0 wt % of the moisturizing lotion composition. In addition, the moisturizing lotion composition includes willow bark extract having a concentration of 0.50 to 0.20 wt % of the moisturizing lotion composition. Further, the moisturizing lotion composition includes chamomilla recutita extract having a concentration of 0.05 to 0.40 wt % of the moisturizing lotion composition, wherein a ratio of the concentration of the propylene glycol to the concentration of the chamomilla recutita extract is between 4.5 and 5.5.
