STREAM-WISE VORTEX FIRE EXTINGUISHER
Devices, systems, and methods for extinguishing fires are provided. A device for extinguishing fires may include a nozzle defining a flow channel. The device may include a convector fluidly coupled with the flow channel and configured to introduce a flow through the flow channel. The device may also include a vortex generator disposed within the nozzle, the vortex generator positioned to interact with the flow and to form a stream-wise vortex external to the nozzle.
FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM FOR BATTERY PACK
The present invention discloses a fire extinguishing system for a battery pack, including a detection control apparatus, a fire suppression apparatus, and a hydrant water extinguishing apparatus. The detection control apparatus is disposed inside or outside a battery pack. The fire suppression apparatus and the hydrant water extinguishing apparatus are disposed outside the battery pack. The detection control apparatus is connected to the fire suppression apparatus. The hydrant water extinguishing apparatus is connected to the fire suppression apparatus. Beneficial effects: It is ensured that initial fire can be suppressed and later reignition can be resolved, so that fire extinguishing is adequate. Fire is directly extinguished at a core position inside the battery pack. An exhaust filter device gains valuable time after initial fire extinguishing.
COMPACT COOLING AND EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM
The compact cooling and extinguishing system is designed to be arranged in a protected device, in particular electrical switchboards with a DIN rail, wherein the compact automatic cooling and extinguishing system consists of a carrier (14) containing inside a pressurized cooling and extinguishing medium, wherein the medium is based on chemical extinguishing agents, which are characterized in that during initiation their temperature, when escaping the carrier, is in negative values, i.e. temperature below 0° C., below the freezing reference point, the system is further provided with a pressure indicator for monitoring the condition of the cooling and extinguishing medium, wherein the compact cooling and extinguishing system is further provided with a first temperature, pressure or smoke switch (15) and a valve (5), which is connected to the carrier of the cooling and extinguishing medium by connection (18), wherein the valve is further provided with a nozzle (6) for release of the cooling and extinguishing medium into the space of the protected device and the valve (6) is further connected to the relay (7). The system is provided with an external power supply (13). The first switch (4) is set to open the valve (5) when the given temperature value is reached in the protected device. In a preferred embodiment, the compact cooling and extinguishing system is provided with a compact cover (2) for mounting on a DIN rail.
NOZZLE CONFIGURATIONS TO CREATE A VORTEX OF FIRE SUPPRESSION AGENT
A fire suppression system in an aircraft includes a first nozzle within a region to perform discharge of a fire suppression agent in a first direction within a region. The systems also includes a second nozzle within the region to perform discharge of the fire suppression agent in a second direction within the region. The discharge in the first direction by the first nozzle and the discharge in the second direction by the second nozzle generate and maintain a vortex of the fire suppression agent that occupies the region with rotational flow.
SOLAR eVTOL DRONE TOWER
A solar-powered fire tower structure has an array of solar panels positioned to provide power to the tower, one or more cameras to receive power from the solar panels, and a communications link to provide communication from the fire tower. A fire-retardant projectile has a casing of having a standardized size, a payload of a fire-retardant material, and a firing mechanism to propel the projectile out of a barrel.
APPARATUS FOR DILUTING AND APPLYING FIREFIGHTING CHEMICAL
This relates to apparatus that can form dilute aqueous firefighting compositions from an aqueous concentrate.
Fire suppression systems
A method of fire suppression may include injecting a reactive agent into a reaction zone to produce a catalytically active species for fire suppression and conveying the catalytically active species to a fire to catalytically interfere with flame chemistry of the fire. Fire in a fuel tank may be suppressed by injecting the reactive agent into a convective flow of a mixture of fuel and oxidizer in a fuel tank, the reactive agent reacting in the fuel tank to release a species which catalytically interferes with flame chemistry to suppress fire in the fuel tank. Fire at an airplane crash may be suppressed by releasing the reactive agent from the container at the crash site to produce an active species to catalytically interfere with a fire at the crash site.
Fire extinguishing system for air mobility vehicle
A fire extinguishing system of an air mobility vehicle includes a refrigerant flow line in which a refrigerant flows, and including a compressor, a condenser, a first expansion valve, and an evaporator, a fire extinguishing liquid flow line connected to the refrigerant flow line via a connection valve, and configured to spray a mixed liquid of a fire extinguishing liquid and the refrigerant, a mixing part connected to the fire extinguishing liquid flow line, and configured to mix the refrigerant and the fire extinguishing liquid, and a fire extinguishing liquid storage part configured to store the fire extinguishing liquid and to discharge the fire extinguishing liquid into a mixing space of the mixing part.
Fire Shelter Apparatus and Method
A portable fire shelter that utilizes an absorbent layer that is impregnated with a fire resistant liquid or gel. The fire shelter is packaged in a way that prevents the liquid or gel from evaporating or hardening. The fire shelter can be transported to the fire zone using robots or drones, and when deployed the fire shelter provides an interior space that maintains a temperature of less than 200° F. in a fire environment that can reach hundreds, or more than a thousand, degrees F for a period sufficient to protect an object or a person until the fire blows by.
