KNEE AND JOINT REHABILITATION EXERCISE DEVICE
A knee rehabilitative device permits a user to provide elastic resistive stretching caused when the leg or other joint is extended or straitened, facilitating exercise and strengthening of the user's muscles and improved flexibility in the area of the knee or other joint area.
EXERCISE APPARATUS AND METHOD
This invention provides a weighted hip and lower back exerciser for use in isolating and working out a narrowly targeted portion of the lower back or gluteal muscles through weighted internal and external rotation. Weighted hip and lower back exerciser comprises four main sections: the framework, the upper body support section, the weight system, and the weighted leg pivot section. A user secures one of his/her legs onto a leg pad and pivots the leg pad by rotating hip and lower back. Leg pad is connected to weights by a band passing through a pair of pulleys and a pulley cord guide. When the user swivels the leg rest, the user tenses the band thus lifting the weights, and resistance is generated. User will isolate the rotational movement to the hip and lower back by leaning onto a chest support and resting arms on an arm support mounted on a vertical rack above the weight assembly.

WORKOUT APPARATUS
A workout apparatus 10 includes base 12. A lifting arm 14 is pivotally connected to base 12 and movable on base 12 between a raised position and a lowered position, the lifting arm 14 including a first end 14a pivotally connected to base 12 and a second end 14b opposite the first end, the second end 14b including a gripping end piece 16. At least one weight post 32 extends outward from lifting arm 14 at a location between first end 14a and second end 14b of lifting arm 14. A braking system 18 is mounted to base 12 and coupled to lifting arm 14. Braking system 18 allows lifting arm 14 to move toward the raised position freely. Braking system 18 is engaged as lifting arm 14 moves towards the lowered position to lower lifting arm 14 toward the lowered position at a controlled rate of speed.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL EXERCISE DEVICE
A multifunctional exercise device is described. The multifunctional exercise device has multiple configurations where the user can perform different exercises by simply adjusting the angle of the bench to utilize both the user's bodyweight and gravity as the resistance.
Wheelchair exercise apparatus having independent drive rollers
An exercise apparatus for a wheelchair.
THE VARRI, A Vertical Running Machine, Vertical, Anti-Gravity, Rehabilitation, Recovery, Impact Resistant
A Vertical Running Machine called a VARRIVertical, Anti-Gravity, Re-habilitation, Recovery, and Impact Resistant. It relates to the field of bio-mechanical technology, human physiological facts, and the relationship of gravity and the functionality of the body in motion. This is a Vertical, Anti-gravity device created for Recovery from injuries, physical therapy Rehabilitation with the functional characteristics of Impact-free conditioning and by providing a non-impact system to improve the conditioning or recovery of the user, the patient or the elderly. The device provides a method of a more rapid and safer recovery from injuries and surgery and also is capable to provide enhanced athletic performance by using a vertical, non-impact system which alleviates the damages on the muscles and skeletal structure of the body from the continuous impact of horizontal running on the ground.
Step lock control
The present invention provides a bodyweight-bearing process and device for stair-stepping and climbing exercise, resolving an unmet need in the industry of climbing and stair-based exercise machines. It surpasses all previously patented and commercially available exercise and physical therapy equipment which aim to replicate the act of climbing, by achieving a more complete, correct and natural movement for the user. As indicated by the expanding body of knowledge and evolving recommendations of the exercise science community and health and fitness industries, full-body conditioning and bodyweight-bearing movements, as accomplished by the present invention, are the most effective exercises for weight-loss, strength-training and overall maintenance of health.
Core muscle therapy apparatus
A core muscle therapy apparatus is presented. The apparatus is designed to work the muscles comprising the core of a user by allowing the user's own body weight to resist the force of gravity in up to a 360 degree environment. The core muscle therapy apparatus has a base, a cage assembly, and a seat assembly.
STRENGTH TRAINING DEVICE USING MAGNETORHEOLOGICAL FLUID CLUTCH APPARATUS
A system for assisting a user in strength training with a strength training device comprises a torque source. One or more magnetorheological (MR) fluid clutch apparatuses has an input coupled to torque source to receive torque from the torque source, the MR fluid clutch apparatus controllable to transmit a variable amount of torque via an output thereof. A modulation inter face couples the output of the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus to a force transmission of the training device. One or more sensors provide information indicative of a training action by the user. A training processor comprises a training effort calculator module for receiving the information indicative of the training action and for characterizing the training action, a training assistance controller module for determining a level of force assistance from the characterizing of the training action, and an assistance generator module for controlling the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus in exerting the force assistance at said level on the force transmission of the training device to assist the user in the training action. A method for assisting a user in strength training with a MR fluid clutch apparatus is also provided.
