Method for monitoring swimming state by means of wearable device, and wearable device
A method and a wearable device are provided. The method includes providing a swimming mode in the wearable device, and storing standard swimming stroke data that have been collected in advance as corresponding template data, when a monitoring process starts, activating the swimming mode according to an instruction given by a user who will immediately enter water, and after the swimming mode has been activated, controlling a sensor to collect swimming stroke data of the user; obtaining test data for identifying a swimming state of the user from the swimming stroke data; and matching the test data with each template data, when the test data successfully matches the template data, identifying the swimming state of the user to be the swimming state that corresponds to the template data.

MOBILE DEVICE AS POWER METER
Aspects of the subject technology relate to communication device used as a power meter. The communication device includes circuitry to determine values of several forces and a processor. The processor determines a combined force by combining the determined values of the forces. The processor further determines a value of a power based on the s combined force, a speed and a loss factor. The communication device is used by a user to measure the power. The power is generated by the user when engaged in an activity, and the forces affect a movement of the user.
A Device and Method to Determine a Swim Metric
The device comprises at least one accelerometer, and a controller receiving input signals from the at least one accelerometer. The controller configured to filter stroke characteristics from the input signal using a filter module. The controller then applies a first statistical module on the filtered signal and obtains a first output signal. Due to the first statistical module, the first output signal is obtained, which is agnostic to type of swim stroke employed by the swimmer. The controller then determines the swim metric based on the first output signal and an adaptive threshold value. The swim metric is lap completion or lap count or turn event, during swimming by a swimmer. The device consumes less power and also agnostic to swim styles and turn styles employed by swimmers.
Swimming activity monitoring
A method of monitoring swimming activity includes: determining at least one of an actual relationship of a mobile device to water or an expected relationship of the mobile device to water; determining ranges to satellites, based on signals received by a satellite positioning system (SPS) receiver of the mobile device, in response to the signals being received by the SPS receiver when the at least one of the actual relationship of the mobile device to water or the expected relationship of the mobile device to water is a desired relationship of the mobile device to water; and determining a location of the mobile device based on the ranges to the satellites.
Swim AR goggles
Swimming goggles have a left-eye covering and a right-eye covering, each having a corresponding transparent window that defines a field of view and each further having a seal extending between the transparent window and the swimmer's face and formed to exclude water. A near-eye display is in signal communication with an image processor and forms a virtual image in the left- or right-eye field of view.

A support part of a swimming start block. The front support part (18) is provided for a starting block (1) of a swimming race, which includes at least one base (9) to be fixed around a swimming pool, and a platform (5) which is mounted or fixed on the base (9). A foot of a swimmer as well as his hands are supported before the start of a race on the front support part. This front support part is arranged to be mounted interchangeably on a front portion of the platform (5) of the starting block (18) and can be an intelligent front support part with motion sensors and light source and race management electronics.

A starting block (1) including a supporting ledge device (10) for a start of a backstroke race. The supporting ledge device is at least partially integrated into the starting block. The supporting ledge device includes a support ledge (13) on which at least one foot of a swimmer can be supported before the start of a backstroke race. The support ledge is held from within a base (9) or a base plate of the starting block by fastening elements (11). Two flexible fastening elements in the form of straps are respectively connected to the two ends of the support ledge and to return means within the starting block at ends opposite the fixation to the support ledge.
