Golf ball and resin composition for cover or topcoat thereof
Provided are a golf ball and a resin composition for a cover or topcoat thereof which can suppress the yellowing of the golf ball caused by ultraviolet rays even if a naturally derived substance is used as an ultraviolet absorber, and they are environmentally and human friendly. A resin composition for a cover or topcoat of a golf ball of the present invention contains: a resin for a cover or topcoat; and a plant-derived extract which absorbs ultraviolet rays. The resin composition has a color difference ΔE of 10.0 or less in a Lab color system between before and after a color tone change test, the color tone change test being carried out by irradiating a film formed from the resin composition with a xenon lamp. In the golf ball of the present invention, the cover or the topcoat is formed by using the resin composition.
POLYURETHANE GOLF BALL
A golf ball according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is covered with an injection-molded crosslinked polyurethane. The golf ball may have excellent scuff resistance and light resistance of a cover as well as excellent driving distance and spin by using a cover composition containing crosslinked polyurethane obtained by adding a crosslinking agent to thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). A polyurethane cover composition according to an embodiment can make it possible to prepare a crosslinked polyurethane cover by injection molding without the burden of facility investment cost.
GOLF BALL
A golf ball includes a core and a cover positioned outside the core. An n-layer (n is a natural number) partial mid layer is provided between the core and the cover. An area of the core in a region where the cover is laminated thereon is not less than 5.0% and not greater than 95.0% of a surface area of a phantom sphere having a radius equal to an average value of a distance from a central point of the core to a surface of the core. In an outer surface of the golf ball, a color difference ΔE1 based on a CIELAB color system between a region C where the cover is directly laminated on the core and a region M where the cover is laminated on the partial mid layer is not less than 20.0.
MULTI-COLOR URETHANE GOLF BALL
A golf ball that includes at least one core, and a cover layer formed from a cast polyurethane or polyurea, wherein the cover layer defines a first surface area portion of a uniform first color and a second surface area portion of a uniform second color, and a seam between the first surface area portion and the second surface area portion, wherein the first color is different than the second color.
GOLF BALL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
In a golf ball having a cover layer that is formed of a resin material composed primarily of polyurethane or polyurea, the cover layer includes a colored surface portion having a visible light transmittance of at least 0.6%. A method for producing the golf ball includes the steps of forming the cover layer over a core or other target sphere and providing the colored surface portion by coloring the surface of the cover layer. The cover layer which includes the colored surface portion has a visible light transmittance of at least 0.6%. The golf ball has a surface with a distinctive aesthetic appearance and retains both a good spin performance and a good scuff resistance, making it useful as a ball for professional and skilled amateur golfers.
GOLF BALL
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having excellent color development stability. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a core and a cover covering the core, wherein the cover is formed from a resin composition containing a first base resin and a fluorescent pigment, and the fluorescent pigment has a number-based cumulative median size of 2.5 μm or more.
MULTI-COLOR GOLF BALL
A golf ball having a single pass image printed on the outer surface having at least one core and a cover layer formed from a cast polyurethane or polyurea. The cover layer defines a first surface area portion of a first color and a second surface area portion of a single pass printed image. The single pass printed image is printed using a UV curable ink and at least one UV pinning operation to pre-cure the UV curable ink before a final UV curing operation.
WHITE GOLF BALL
Golf ball comprising one or more layers and/or indicia formed from a fluorescent composition comprising: a base polymer; and a colorant; wherein the colorant is a small-molecule ionic isolation lattice formed from one or more fluorescent dye and one or more cyanostar macrocycles. The one or more fluorescent dyes may include at least one dye selected from xanthenes, oxazines, styryls, cyanines, trianguleniums, or mixtures thereof. The colorant may be a dispersion of the small-molecule ionic isolation lattice in a carrier medium or a powder. In particular embodiments, at least one of the one or more layers is a cover layer and/or a coating layer.

COLOR-SHIFTING FORMULATIONS AND GOLF BALLS INCLUDING SAME
Color-shifting formulations and golf balls including color-shifting formulations where the color-shifting formulations produce a golf ball with a color appearance that differs from the color appearance of the subassembly and the color appearance of the color-shifting formulation and also exhibits an angular color shift.
