20230149780 · 2023-05-18 ·

The present invention relates generally to the field of rackets. More specifically, the present invention relates to racket device. The device is primarily comprised of frame with at least one string, a handle, and at least one grommet. The device has at least one angled string area that has at least one string that is received by the grommet. Said angled string area does not sit in plane with the frame and other strings of the device. Due to the angled positioning of the angled string area, a ball is prevented from hitting the frame of the device, thereby preventing mishits.

Racquet configured with increased flexibility in multiple directions with respect to a longitudinal axis

A racquet including a frame including a head portion, a handle portion, and a throat portion. The head portion is a tubular structure including inner and outer peripheral walls, each having inner and outer surfaces. The head portion of the racquet being formed of a fiber composite material. The fiber composite material includes a plurality of ply arrangements. Each includes a pair of plies defining first and second angles with respect to a composite axis. A section of the outer peripheral wall from the inner surface to the outer surface includes at least three ply arrangements overlaying each other, and the first and second angles of at least two of the at least three ply arrangements being at least 35 degrees. When the racquet is tested under a racquet torsional stability test, the racquet has an angular deflection of less than 5.5 degrees about a longitudinal axis.

RACQUET CONFIGURED WITH INCREASED FLEXIBILITY IN MULTIPLE DIRECTIONS WITH RESPECT TO A LONGITUDINAL AXIS

A racquet including a frame including a head portion, a handle portion, and a throat portion. The head portion forms a hoop that defines a string bed plane. The head portion of the racquet being formed of a fiber composite material. When the racquet is tested under a racquet forward/rearward bending test, the racquet has a forward/rearward deflection with respect to the longitudinal axis of at least 8.5 mm when measured in a direction that is perpendicular to the string bed plane and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

A racquet extending along a longitudinal axis and including a frame including a head portion, a handle portion, and a throat portion. The head portion forms a hoop that defines a string bed plane. At least the head portion and the throat portion of the frame are formed at least in part of a fiber composite material. When the racquet is tested under the racquet lateral bending test, the racquet has a lateral deflection of at least 6.0 mm when measured in a direction that is parallel to the string bed plane and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

A racket includes a handle to be gripped by a user and a head. The head has a frame defining an open interior having a perimeter. The frame is coupled to a first end of the handle at a first point along the perimeter. The frame is discontinuous and includes a first terminus and a second terminus defining a gap along the perimeter at a second point which is different than the first point. A biasing member is coupled to the first and second termini so as to span the gap. A plurality of strings traverses the open interior, with a first set of spaced strings being arranged angularly offset from a second set of spaced strings to form a grid-like string pattern.

The present invention is directed to a racquet design with an inner and outer frame connected by an isolation system. Uniquely adapted to tennis racquets, the natural motion of the inner frame relative to the outer frame upon impact of the tennis ball on the inner frame will generate spin when the ball contacts the inner frame. The relationship between the inner frame, outer frame and isolation system can control the spin imparted to the ball for a given tennis swing. The tuning of the isolators relative to conventional racquet characteristics will increase the amount of ball spin caused by conventional racquets. The invention also increases the accuracy of the tennis ball's trajectory.
