Hockey skate including a one-piece frame with integral pedestals
A hockey skate includes a fiber-reinforced, composite frame, or an injected plastic frame, including a boot form and integral pedestals that serve as a blade-holder. The pedestals are integral with the bottom of the boot sole and are optionally spaced relatively far apart to provide a long span between them. An optional bridge assembly may be used to connect the blade to the pedestals. The bridge assembly may provide increased stiffness and vibration damping, as well as customized fit options.

CLAP SKATE
The invention relates to a clap skate (1) comprising a blade (4) having a rockering, a frame (3), holding the blade (4) in its bottomside and comprising, on its topside, a heel support (5) for the heel portion of a skating shoe (2) or bracket (8) and a forefoot support (6) connected to a front part of a skating shoe (2) or a bracket (8) via a pivot (7). The forefoot support (6) provides a fixed connection to the frame (3), which fixed connection extends in front of the pivot (7) and at the most 5 mm behind the pivot (7).

Ice skate blade bending apparatus
A skate blade bending apparatus (35) may feature a unitary body (1) with a securement structure (10, 15) which holds a skate blade on its side, parallel to the ground, and a means for exerting downward force (8) on the side of the skate blade. The securement structure may feature movable anvils 15 which will change the imparted radius of curvature imparted upon the blade. Indicia (29) may be utilized to position said anvils (15) to ensure the process is repeatable on different blades. A handle (14) used with the means for exerting downward force (8) may be adjustable. The means for exerting downward force (8) and anvils (15) may be interchangeable with other shapes of similar structures for greater versatility.

CONSTRUCTION OF SKATES
A skate including a shoe/boot part and a skate iron/blade part, wherein the skate iron/blade part includes a skate iron/blade and a rear and forward intermediate mounting element connecting the skate iron/blade to the shoe/boot part, wherein at least a part of the forward mounting element may be compressed in the vertical direction, said forward mounting element being equipped with a resilient device that may be compressed through vertically loading the skate and that mainly returns to its original form when the vertical load of the skate diminishes.
