Padded overshoe assembly
A padded overshoe assembly for facilitating a user to walk on a fragile surface includes a shoe binding for receiving a user's shoe. A paddle is provided and the shoe binding is pivotally disposed on the paddle. The paddle has a width and a length that is greater than the width and the length of the sole to evenly distribute the user's weight over a surface upon which the user is walking thereby reducing the likelihood the user will damage the surface. A cushion is coupled to and extends downwardly from the paddle to abut the surface upon which the user is walking. Additionally, the cushion is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to inhibit the surface from being damaged by the user.

SPIN TIGHTENED SNOWSHOE BINDING
A spin-tightened snowshoe binding is provided, the binding comprising a sole plate configured to be hingedly interconnected to a snowshoe an axis extending transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the snowshoe, a toe cap interconnected with the sole plate with a first anterior strap and a second anterior strap, wherein the anterior straps are configured to wrap around the medial aspect and the lateral aspects of a toe box of a shoe inserted within the snowshoe binding, and wherein the toe cap is configured to interface with a top aspect of the shoe, a first lateral strap extends outward from the sole plate, wherein the first lateral strap is configured to wrap upward along a medial portion of the shoe, and extend toward a posterior aspect of the shoe, a second lateral strap extends outward from the sole plate, wherein the second lateral strap is configured to wrap upward along a lateral aspect of a shoe, and extend toward the posterior aspect of the snowshoe binding, a belt having a first end and a second end, the belt slideably interconnected with the distal end of the first lateral strap and the distal end of the second lateral strap, wherein the belt is configured to span around the posterior aspect of the shoe between the distal ends of the lateral straps, a tightening dial interconnected with the toe cap, a cable interconnecting the tightening dial, toe cap, sole plate, lateral straps, and first end and second end of the belt, wherein rotating the tightening dial in a first direction tensions the cable, and wherein rotating the tightening dial in a first direction retracts the toe cap toward the sole plate and retracts the first end and second end of the belt toward the toe cap.
Snowshoe
The invention relates to a snowshoe including a base structure forming a shoe area and a lift area, in which the lift area comprises a side projection on each side of the shoe area, a front portion of the snowshoe substantially corresponding to the front of the shoe area.
EXPANDABLE SNOWSHOE ATTACHMENT FOR SNOWBOARD BINDINGS
A system for securing a snowboard binding to a snowboard may be an intermediary between the snowboard binding and the snowboard. In some embodiments, the system includes an expandable snowshoe attachment device. The system for securing a snowboard binding to a snowboard may include an upper piece and one or more lower pieces. The upper piece may be configured to attach to a lower surface of a baseplate of a snowboard binding. The one or more lower pieces may be rails. The rails may be fastened to a snowboard. The upper piece may include one or more extensions. The one or more extensions may deploy to increase a bottom surface area of the upper piece. Increasing the bottom surface area of the upper piece may increase the flotation of the upper piece on surfaces such as snow.
Snowshoes
Snowshoes are provided which include a footwear supporting plate, a front binding device and a rear binding device. The plate has a lattice-like, essentially flat configuration formed by a plurality of hollow prismatic structures partially superimposed on one another. The main axis (x) of each hollow prismatic structure may be inclined by an angle (α) between 200 and 70° relative to a middle plane of the plate, in such a manner that lower edges of the hollow prismatic structures form sharp edges which allow the plate to grip snow and inner surfaces of the hollow prismatic structures offer high resistance to penetration into snow allowing for the distribution of weight of a user over a wide contact surface, thereby ensuring good floatability.
