Oxygenation system

An exhaust gas flow control system for an oxygenator of an extracorporeal ventilation system connected to an oxygenation gas supply line and to an exhaust line for removal of exhaust gas comprises a flow control path, a pressure control path, an exhaust flow regulator responsive to the controller, and an exhaust gas pressure regulator responsive to a controller configured to maintain a pre-determined pressure level in the exhaust line. This provides a better degree of control over the pressure across the oxygenator from oxygenation gas inlet to exhaust.

Fluid degassing control system

A membrane-based fluid degassing system is arranged for automated control to a degassing efficiency set point, so that fluid is degassed only as necessary. The control variable may be assigned as the degassing environment, to provide the gas transfer driving force suitable to appropriately degas the fluid. By avoiding unnecessary degassing of the fluid, mobile phase pervaporation through the membrane is minimized.

WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM, ULTRAPURE WATER PRODUCING SYSTEM AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD

A water treatment system includes: EDI having deionization chamber that deionizes water that contains boron and concentration chambers in which concentrated water flows; and a cooler to cool the water supplied to deionization chamber or the concentrated water supplied to concentration chambers. Alternatively, water treatment system includes EDI having deionization chamber that deionizes water that contains boron, concentration chambers in which concentrated water flows, and electrode chambers in which electrode water flows; a cooler that adjusts temperature of the water or temperature of the concentrated water supplied to concentration chamber; and a controller that controls the cooler such that the cooler adjusts the temperature of the water supplied to deionization chamber or the temperature of the concentrated water supplied to the concentration chambers within a range of 10-23° C., based on the temperature of the water, temperature of treated water of EDI, the temperature of the concentrated water, or temperature of the electrode water.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVAL OF CARBON DIOXIDE FROM SEAWATER

The present invention generally relates to systems and methods for the separation and removal of carbon dioxide from a liquid, for example, seawater. The systems include an extraction system that collects carbon dioxide from the seawater through a medium, and removes carbon dioxide from the medium; the extraction systems comprising a reactor and a membrane. Alternatively, the extraction system includes a reactor, a membrane and a catalyst.

Vacuum filtration system

The present disclosure relates to a vacuum filter that incorporates a large area pleated filter element having pleated hydrophilic membrane configured along slanting surface in pyramid shape and incorporated with in a filter housing that can be accommodated in neck of a filtrate container. The disclosed configuration reduces overall height of the filtering system improving its stability and reducing space requirement. Further, top portion of the filter housing is configured to receive either a feed cup for direct feeding of feed liquid by pouring in the cup or a fitting with tube that can be used to suck the feed from a feed solution container under action of a vacuum thus allowing universal use. In another embodiment, a single hydrophobic membrane is provided to avoid problems of low flow due to bubbles coming with the feed solution and also to allow restart of filtration without air lock.

HYDRO-ENHANCED AIR CLEANER AND POTABLE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

A hydro-enhanced air cleaner is provided as a stand-alone unit or as a component of a heating, ventilation, air conditioning system for a building which cleans and purifies ambient air and is also capable of producing potable water in humid environments. The device includes a dehumidifier which extracts polluted humid air and produces condensate including water and pollutants which adhere to the water. A degasser is connected with the dehumidifier to purify and degas the condensate to produce deionized water and pollutants. A humidifier is connected with the degasser to vaporize at least a portion of the deionized water for delivery to a living space. Excess deionized water may be collected as a potable water supply. In accordance with a method, the apparatus is used to continuously recycle air within a building further continuously clean the air.

Systems, apparatus, and methods for filtering air from a fluid line

In some embodiments, a housing can define a reservoir. A lower cap can be coupled to the housing and define an outlet, and an upper cap can be coupled to the housing and can define an inlet. The upper cap can include an extending portion extending laterally a distance beyond an outermost extending portion of the lower cap relative to a central axis of the housing such that, when the lower cap and the extending portion of the upper cap contact a horizontal surface, the central axis of the housing is transverse to the surface and a sealing member is configured to sealingly engage a sealing surface of a valve seat prior to a liquid fluid level within a reservoir decreasing below a minimum threshold fluid level.

Fluid degassing system with reduced pressure pulsatility

The pressure fluctuations in a fluid degassing system may be diminished by independently controlling the intake phase and the exhaust phase of an evacuation pump. The speed of the pump's drive element may be modulated at least during the intake phase to more closely align with a pressure set point in a degassing module.

FILTRATION AND DEAERATION SYSTEM

A deaeration system is disclosed. A preliminary filtration stage is configured to filter particles from and nucleate gas in a fluid stream to create a filtered fluid stream. A primary filtration stage is downstream of the preliminary filtration stage configured to separate the filtered fluid stream into a first liquid stream and an air cavity concentrate stream. A secondary filtration stage is configured to receive the air cavity concentrate stream and separate the air cavity concentrate stream into a second liquid stream and a gas stream.
