REGENERATIVE MEDIA FILTRATION
A method of cleaning a regenerative filter having a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones, a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones, and a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path, the method comprising draining all fluids from the filter housing, refilling the filter housing with fluid to an optimum level, and initiating a cleaning sequence of the filter housing with the fluid at the optimum level. The cleaning sequence can comprise agitating the tube sheet, initiating a pump to effectively air scour for a first predetermined amount of time, dwelling for a second predetermined amount of time, and repeating the agitating, initiating, and dwelling until a third predetermined amount of time is complete.
REGENERATION AND MULTIPLE USE OF DEPTH FILTERS
Herein is reported a method for the purification or production of a therapeutic polypeptide using the same depth filter multiple times, i.e. a depth filter which has been used before and has been regenerated.
Reported herein is a method for purifying or producing a therapeutic polypeptide, characterized in that the method comprises the following steps: a) filtering an aqueous composition containing said therapeutic polypeptide and impurities through a depth filter, recovering the flow-through and thereby obtaining said purified therapeutic polypeptide, b) contacting said depth filter with a regeneration solution and thereby regenerating the depth filter, and c) repeating steps a) and b) one or more times.
ADAPTER FOR FILTER DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
An adapter for use in a filter device is provided, the adapter having a downwardly slanted inner wall including two or more hollow passageways, and a central fluid flow port, wherein the adapter can be welded to a filter device housing head.
Apparatus and system for filtrating liquid
A filtration apparatus is provided. The filtration apparatus includes a housing and a plurality of filtering sheets. The housing is enclosed by a first end cap and a second end cap. The first end cap includes a liquid inlet, and the second end cap includes a liquid outlet. The plurality of filtering sheets is disposed on an internal sidewall of the housing. A portion of the filtering sheets interlaces with another portion of the filtering sheets to form a winding flow path in the housing.
EXOSOME EXTRACTION DEVICE AND EXOSOME EXTRACTION METHOD
A liquid containing exosomes is filtered through a first filter that has a hole diameter that passes the exosomes and blocks cells, and is then stored in a first storage unit (rough filtration step). Next, pressure is applied to the inside of the first storage unit to pump the liquid to a pre-filtration chamber in a second filter that blocks the exosomes so that water in the liquid is filtered out into a post-filtration chamber. The exosome-containing liquid that was not filtered out is returned to the first storage unit, thereby increasing the exosome concentration in the liquid for extraction (concentration step). The exosome-containing concentrate in the first storage unit is then filtered through a third filter having a hole diameter that passes the exosomes and blocks bacteria, and is sent to a recovery unit (sterilization filtration step).
Systems And Methods For Fluid Monitoring And Content Control In Industrial Fluid Systems
The present disclosure provides an exemplary process for a system that may remove particulate from industrial water fluids using a Particulate Removal System (PRS). In some aspects, this system may treat water pulled from different Industrial Fluid Systems (IFS) while doing continuous monitoring and quality tests of the water. In some embodiments, the system may use sensors and other technology to allow for the system to periodically self-clean itself allowing for maximum efficiency and accuracy while also cleaning the water from the IFS. In some implementations, the water from the IFS may be filtered through a Particulate Trap Mechanism (PTM) to ensure that particulate including dissolved material has been removed from the water and separated from possible contamination throughout the system. In some aspects the system may be used for continuous and direct measurement of water quality and automatic chemical level adjustment by systems to maintain a desired range or setpoints.

A method and a system for filtering a suspension
A system and a method for filtering a predetermined molecule entrained as a 3D-complex in a liquid comprising a filter forming solid all forming a filter forming suspension, the system having a filter chamber into which the filter forming suspension is fed and drained to form a filter with inclusions of the 3D-complex, where after a cleansing liquid is fed to a neighbouring liquid chamber and fed evenly through the filter to cleanse the filter and subsequently dissolve the complex to retrieve the product or target molecule.
Apparatus and Method for Rejuvenation and Recovery of Filtration Media
Apparatuses and methods to rejuvenate spent filtration media are described. The apparatuses include a filtration unit to filter a liquid having solids that need to be removed and a rejuvenation unit to heat the spent filtration media that has reduced filtering capacity. The methods include using the apparatus to rejuvenate spent filtration media by removing solids deposited on the filtration media to allow its repeated reuse rather than being discarded and replaced with new filtration media.
