Method and plant for generation of synthesis gas
Method and plant for generating a synthesis gas which consists mainly of carbon monoxide and hydrogen and has been freed of acid gases, proceeding from a hydrocarbonaceous fuel, and air and steam, wherein low-temperature fractionation separates air into an oxygen stream, a tail gas stream and a nitrogen stream, wherein the tail gas stream and the nitrogen stream are at ambient temperature and the nitrogen stream is at elevated pressure, wherein the hydrocarbonaceous fuel, having been mixed with the oxygen stream and steam at elevated temperature and elevated pressure, is converted to a synthesis gas by a method known to those skilled in the art, and wherein acid gas is subsequently separated therefrom by low-temperature absorption in an absorption column, wherein the nitrogen stream generated in the fractionation of air is passed through and simultaneously cooled in an expansion turbine and then used to cool either the absorbent or the coolant circulating in the coolant circuit of the compression refrigeration plant.
GAS SUPPLY WARNING AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WITH SUPER ENRICHED OXYGEN GENERATOR
A super enriched personal oxygen concentrator system that discards argon as waste, including a personal oxygen concentrator operatively attached to a first bed for absorbing nitrogen and second bed for absorbing oxygen, and an argon waste outlet operatively attached to the first and second beds for eliminating argon from the system. A method of using the system of the present invention, by absorbing nitrogen from compressed air from a POC with a first bed, absorbing oxygen with a second bed, discarding unabsorbed argon from the compressed air as waste, desorbing enriched oxygen product, and providing a 99% oxygen product. A fluid supply warning and communication system, wherein a primary fluid reservoir is connected to the personal oxygen concentrator system. A method of using the fluid supply warning and communication system.
SYSTEM FOR SEPARATING GAS
An improved system for separating gas from a process stream by providing a stripping unit at the overhead stream of a fractionation column to selectively and effectively remove the gas using a stripping fluid without providing a dedicated light-ends separations unit. The stripper unit may be connected to the reflux drum at the overhead stream. The system for separating gas further achieves greater thermodynamic efficiency by means of a split column design using mechanical vapor recompression with the reboiler and condenser integrated in a falling-film evaporator- or thermosiphon-type vapo-condenser.
CONTINUOUS-MOTION DIRECT AIR CAPTURE SYSTEM
A system and a method for continuously separating carbon dioxide from gas mixtures, utilizing a continuous loop of porous monoliths which support a sorbent within its pores. Continuously exposing a portion of the continuous loop of monoliths to a flow of gas mixture containing a minor proportion of carbon dioxide, to adsorb carbon dioxide from the flow. The loop passes through a sealed regeneration and carbon dioxide capture assembly located astride a portion of the loop, and which is capable of sealingly containing a monolith in relative movement through the assembly. The assembly chamber comprises a plurality of separately sealed zones, including at least one zone for purging oxygen from the monoliths, -a subsequent zone for heating the monolith to release the adsorbed carbon dioxide, and another cooling zone for cooling the monolith prior to reentering the adsorption portion of the loop where it is exposed to oxygen.
