System and method for a hash table and data storage and access using the same
11691896 · 2023-07-04 · ·

The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for storage management. A hash table is constructed, having an index file having one or more slots, each of which includes one or more buckets. Each bucket stores one or more types of records, including a direct record, an indirect record, and a forwarding record. A direct record stores data directly in a bucket of a slot of the index file. When a storage request is received related to some relevant data, the request is handled based on the constructed hash table.

IMPROVING SULFUR RECOVERY OPERATIONS WITH PROCESSES BASED ON NOVEL CO2 OVER SO2 SELECTIVE MEMBRANES AND ITS COMBINATIONS WITH SO2 OVER CO2 SELECTIVE MEMBRANES

Methods and systems for recovering sulfur dioxide from a Claus unit process emissions stream are provided. The method comprises the steps of generating a process emissions stream from a thermal oxidizer or other combustion device, introducing the emissions stream to an SO.sub.2 removal system, introducing the SO.sub.2 rich stream from the SO.sub.2 removal system to a CO.sub.2 removal system, and introducing an enriched SO.sub.2 stream back to the Claus unit. The SO.sub.2 removal system can include one or more SO.sub.2 selective membranes. The CO.sub.2 removal system can include one or more CO.sub.2 selective membranes.

Removing components of alcoholic solutions via forward osmosis and related systems

Examples disclosed herein relate to methods and systems for controllably removing one or more solutes from a solution. Examples disclosed herein relate to methods and systems for removing water from alcoholic beverages.

Filtration device, refining device, and production method for liquid medicine

A filtering device is for obtaining a chemical liquid by purifying a liquid to be purified, and the filtering device has an inlet portion, an outlet portion, a filter A, at least one filter B different from the filter A, and a flow path which includes the filter A and the filter B arranged in series and extends from the inlet portion to the outlet portion, in which the filter A has a porous base material made of polyfluorocarbon and a coating layer which is disposed to cover the porous base material and contains a resin having an adsorptive group.

PARTICULATE SLURRIES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

The present disclosure provides a method of making a chemical mechanical planarization slurry. The method includes contacting a chemical mechanical planarization slurry precursor including a carrier and a plurality of abrasive particles with a semi-permeable fiber membrane. Upon contact, the method further includes separating the chemical mechanical planarization slurry precursor into a concentrate and an effluent. The concentrate includes the chemical mechanical planarization slurry and the effluent includes the carrier and a plurality of particles. The particles of the effluent have a median size that is less than a median size of the abrasive particles of the concentrate. In the method a pressure difference measured between an inlet to which the chemical mechanical planarization slurry precursor is supplied and a first outlet to which the effluent is supplied is in a range of from about 1 psi to about 15 psi.

Process for recovery of lithium from brine

A process for recovery of lithium ions from a lithium-bearing brine includes contacting the lithium-bearing brine with a lithium ion sieve (where that LIS includes an oxide of titanium or niobium) in a first stirred reactor to form a lithium ion complex with the lithium ion sieve, and decomplexing the lithium ion from the lithium ion sieve in a second stirred reactor to form the lithium ion sieve and an acidic lithium salt eluate.

PURIFICATION SYSTEM, PURIFICATION METHOD, MEMBRANE SEPARATION DEVICE, AND SOLVENT MANUFACTURING METHOD

A purification system is for purifying a mixture containing a first solvent, a second solvent, and an impurity. The purification system includes a first membrane separation device including a pervaporation membrane and a second membrane separation device including a filtration membrane. The pervaporation membrane separates the mixture into a first permeated fluid and a first concentrated fluid. The first permeated fluid has a lower concentration of the impurity than that in the mixture, and the first concentrated fluid has a higher concentration of the impurity than that in the mixture. The filtration membrane separates the first concentrated fluid into a second permeated fluid and a second concentrated fluid. The second permeated fluid has a lower concentration of the impurity than that in the first concentrated fluid, and the second concentrated fluid has a higher concentration of the impurity than that in the first concentrated fluid.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR REDUCING MAGNESIUM IN HIGH SALINITY SALAR BRINES BY NANOFILTRATION AND FORWARD OSMOSIS
20220401885 · 2022-12-22 ·

Methods and systems of lowering a concentration of divalent cations in lithium-containing brines are described. A method includes diluting saturated salar brine such that sodium chloride concentration is at most about 80% of saturation. The method also includes feeding the diluted salar brine to a high pressure nanofiltration system operating at pressure above about 60 bar effective to form a permeate and a concentrate. The method also includes collecting the permeate having a lower concentration of divalent cations relative to the saturated salar brine.
