FILTER ELEMENT FOR AN AIR FILTER HAVING A PRIMARY AIR OUTLET AND A SECONDARY AIR OUTLET, AND AN AIR FILTER AND INSTALLATION METHOD
A filter element has a filter medium annularly surrounding a longitudinal axis of the filter element. The filter medium can be flowed through radially from an exterior to an interior and has a plurality of folds. A first end disk is arranged at a first end face of the filter element. A primary air passage and a secondary air passage are provided. The filter medium has an axial recess at the first end face. The first end disk has a channel forming the secondary air passage and extending in the axial recess. The plurality of folds include first folds in a region of the recess and second folds away from the recess. An axial length of the first folds is reduced relative to an axial length of the second folds. An air filter with such filter element and an assembly method for the air filter are provided.
System comprising a connector for coupling to a fluid filter element, fluid filter element, and process for producing same
The present disclosure is directed to a new quick-connect, bayonet-type coupling arrangement for use with connecting a filter cartridge or element to a fluid-consuming machine. Advantageously, the features of the coupling arrangement can be provided while simultaneously maintaining backward compatibility with screw-thread based systems by modifying the screw thread on the end cap so as to include judicially arranged non-interfering segments. Accordingly, the disclosed fluid filter elements can not only be installed on systems according to the present disclosure but also on prior-art systems presenting a thread-based connector.
FILTER ELEMENT FOR USE IN A FILTER, AND FILTER COMPRISING A FILTER ELEMENT
A filter element, in particular a replaceable filter element, more particularly for separating particles and/or gases and/or liquids, in particular a filter cartridge for use in a filter, more particularly a compressed air filter, in particular as a component of a filter comprising multiple filtration stages, includes a substantially tubular body with an annular end face that faces a filter head, an underside, and a circumferential surface. Multiple, preferably four, retaining arms, running radially in relation to the central axis, are provided in the region of the end face and a toroidal filter-element sealing surface is provided on the end face, and the retaining arms protrude in relation to the filter-element sealing surface. The filter element is usable in a filter.
AIR FILTER WITH INTEGRATED SEAL LIP
The invention is based on an air filter with a filter element (28), a substantially cylindrical filter housing (12) with an unfiltered air inlet (18) and a filtered air outlet (20) arranged substantially concentrically on a first end face of the filter housing (12), wherein an extension tube (22) projects into the interior of the filter housing (12) at the filtered air outlet (20) and the filter element (28) comprises a first end plate (24) which can be plugged onto the extension tube (22).
It is proposed that the first end plate (24) is formed of plastic and comprises a sealing lip (30) formed thereon and projecting radially inwardly, which sealing lip (30) rests against the extension tube (22) in the plugged-on state.
Filtration device and use of said device for separating and collecting brake dust
The filtration device enables the separation and collection of dust and particles produced by the pads of a brake assembly. A first separation unit having an air filtration medium, typically annular, is provided in the housing of the device, in order to define an upstream zone where air is admitted, for example tangentially, and a downstream zone in communication with an outlet of the housing for discharging the purified air. The upstream zone is in communication with a lower stage situated lower down, in which a second separation unit is located in order to separate water from particles that have fallen from the upstream zone. A filtration by the second unit is intended to collect clean water and possibly to discharge this water by gravitational flow. The fallen particles remain trapped inside the device, under the first unit.
Adapter and air filter cartridge being adapted for use with such an adapter
An adapter (1) for use in a dedicated coupling system (2) for releasably coupling an air filter cartridge (20) and a housing (36) of a dedicated air filter assembly (34), the adapter (1) comprising: a first surface area (4) being rotatably coupleable with a housing-side coupling element (6) of the coupling system (2), and a second surface area (8) preferably being non-rotatably coupleable. Cartridges, components, features and methods are described.
AIR CLEANER ARRANGEMENT WITH END SUPPORT FOR CARTRIDGE; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS
An air cleaner assembly is described and shown which includes a housing having an air flow inlet, an air flow outlet and a housing body and access cover. A serviceable filter cartridge is positioned within the housing. A projection/receiver arrangement providing for engagement between the cartridge and the housing is provided. The projection/receiver arrangement can be configured in a manner that inhibits undesired motion of the cartridge, once installed. An example projection/receiver arrangement is provided, which includes a serpentine receiving groove on the access cover and a serpentine projection on the filter cartridge. Example filter cartridge features are described.
GAS FILTER SEPARATOR FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH KEYS AND/OR BAFFLE
A filter system comprises a pressure vessel housing with internal components designed to remove solid particles, semi-solid particles, and liquid droplets from a gas phase media. The filter housing utilizes multiple replaceable filter cartridges. The system includes a keyed filter coalescer cartridge designed to flow from the inside open area of the cartridge to the outside annular area of the housing prior to leaving the system through an outlet nozzle. The key is designed to locate a baffle of the filter cartridge inlet side end cap in a certain orientation as to provide enhanced liquid removal performance for the system. The baffle may also serve as a handle.
Filter with electrical signature anti-counterfeiting feature
An anti-counterfeiting mechanism for a filter element to specifically, and preferably uniquely, identify a filter with a conductive pattern or path of conductive materials preferably either embedded (thin film circuit) under the surface, or over molded on, a portion of the filter. The conductive materials are preferably positioned at the filter end cap. The resistance of the filter element is an identifier that is preferably associated with the OEM manufacturer's labeling (such as product number) and/or other branding of the component. This electrical resistance signature permits rapid identification of counterfeit filters.
Oval seal with stabilization contour
A filter element including a first endplate, a second endplate, filter media fitted between the first endplate and the second endplate, the first endplate including an opening that allows a working fluid to flow into or out of the filter media, the filter media allowing the working fluid to be filtered through the filter media and a seal member having an oval profile disposed on the first endplate and configured to seal with a filter housing, the seal member including an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter including a plurality of outwardly curved surfaces.
