HEAT-RESISTANT RUTHENIUM COMPOSITE AND USE THEREOF AS CATALYST FOR NOX STORAGE AND REDUCTION
Disclosed is a heat-resistant ruthenium composite and, more particularly, to a heat-resistant ruthenium composite, a catalyst using same, and an exhaust system, the heat-resistant ruthenium composite being composed of a matrix including a plurality of cores therein, wherein ruthenium is present in a metal state in the core and a Ru complex oxide including Ru perovskite (PV) is contained in the matrix.
Passive NO.SUB.x .adsorber
A passive NO.sub.x adsorber is disclosed. The passive NO.sub.x adsorber is effective to adsorb NO.sub.x at or below a low temperature and release the adsorbed NO.sub.x at temperatures above the low temperature. The passive NO.sub.x adsorber comprises a noble metal and a molecular sieve having an LTL Framework Type. The invention also includes an exhaust system comprising the passive NO.sub.x adsorber, and a method for treating exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine utilizing the passive NO.sub.x adsorber.
Low-temperature NO.SUB.x .storage catalyst used for automobile exhaust purification and preparation method thereof
A low-temperature NO.sub.x storage catalyst for automobile exhaust purification and a preparation method thereof. Loading a noble metal salt solution on molecular sieve by equal volume impregnation method, wherein the noble metal salt solution comprises palladium nitrate and platinum nitrate, and the molecular sieve comprises SSZ, SAPO and BETA, then drying at 60-120° C. for 2-6 h, roasting at 500-550° C. in air for 2-5 h, and further roasting at 750-850° C. in air for 2-5 h, and then mixing with aluminum sol, ball milling and pulping, and then coating the slurry on a carrier, wherein the loading on the coating is 100-250 g/L and the noble metal content is 10-150 g/ft.sup.3, drying at 60-120° C. for 2-6 h, then roasting at 500-550° C. in air for 2-5 h, and further continuing roasting at 750-850° C. in air for 2-5 h, to obtain the catalyst. Loading the noble metals Pt and Pd into a pore channel of a molecular sieve improves NO.sub.x storage capacity of a catalyst at low temperatures, and selecting a different type of molecular sieve as an NO.sub.x storage unit and increasing a roasting temperature of a molecular sieve material on which Pt and Pd are loaded significantly increases NO.sub.x storage capacity.
ZEOLITE WITH CU AND PD CO-EXCHANGED IN A COMPOSITE
The present disclosure provides catalyst compositions and catalytic articles capable of storing and/or reducing nitrogen oxide (NO.sub.x) emissions in engine exhaust, catalyst articles coated with such compositions, and processes for preparing such catalyst compositions and articles. The catalyst compositions include copper and palladium co-exchanged zeolites. Further provided is a process for preparing such co-exchanged zeolites, an exhaust gas treatment system including the catalytic articles disclosed herein, and methods for reducing NO in an exhaust gas stream using such catalytic articles and systems.
PASSIVE NOx ADSORBER
A passive NOx absorber for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine is described. The passive NOx absorber comprises a first washcoat region comprising a zeolite catalyst, the zeolite catalyst comprising a noble metal and a zeolite having a SAR of 2-15.
Exhaust gas treatment system
Described are exhaust gas treatment systems for treatment of a gasoline engine exhaust gas stream. The exhaust gas treatment systems comprise an ammonia generating catalyst and an ammonia selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst downstream of the ammonia generating catalyst. The ammonia generating catalyst comprises a NO.sub.x storage component, a refractory metal oxide support, a platinum component, and a palladium component. The ammonia generating catalyst is substantially free of ceria. The platinum and palladium components are present in a platinum to palladium ratio of greater than about 1 to 1.
Nitrogen oxide sorbent and exhaust gas cleaning catalyst
A nitrogen oxide storage material comprising: Mg.sub.1-yAl.sub.2O.sub.4-y, wherein y is a number satisfying 0≤y≤0.2, a noble metal, an oxide of a metal other than the noble metal, and a barium compound, the noble metal, the oxide, and the barium compound being loaded on Mg.sub.1-yAl.sub.2O.sub.4-y. The metal oxide comprises at least one metal oxide selected from zirconium oxide, praseodymium oxide, niobium oxide, and iron oxide.
EXHAUST PURIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RESTORING NOx PURIFICATION CAPACITY
An exhaust purification system includes: a NOx reduction catalyst for reducing and purifying NOx in an exhaust gas; a catalyst regeneration control module for executing a catalyst regeneration process of restoring a NOx purification capacity of the NOx reduction catalyst by switching an air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas from a lean state to a rich state by using in parallel an air system control to reduce an intake air amount and an injection system control to increase a fuel injection amount; an exhaust gas temperature sensor that is provided on a downstream side of the NOx reduction catalyst on an exhaust passageway; a catalyst temperature estimating module for estimating a catalyst temperature of the NOx reduction catalyst; a temperature sensor value estimating module for estimating a sensor value of the exhaust gas temperature sensor; and an abnormality determination module for determining on an abnormality of a catalyst regeneration process.
APPARATUS FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS
An apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas passing through an exhaust pipe includes a catalytic converter disposed on the exhaust pipe. The catalytic converter is provided with a lean NOx trap (LNT) device, the LNT device having an LNT catalyst coated therein, and a catalyzed particulate filter (CPF), the CPF having a catalyst coated therein, and the LNT device and the CPF are sequentially disposed in the catalytic converter. The CPF includes at least one inlet channel extending in a longitudinal direction, the at least one inlet channel having a first end into which fluid flows and a second end which is blocked, at least one outlet channel extending in the longitudinal direction, the at least one outlet channel having a first end which is blocked and a second end through which the fluid flows out, at least one porous wall that defines a boundary between neighboring inlet and outlet channels and that extends in the longitudinal direction, and a support with the catalyst coating thereon, and the support is located within at least one among the at least one inlet channel and the at least one outlet channel.
NOx ADSORBER CATALYST
A NO.sub.x adsorber catalyst and its use in an emission treatment system for internal combustion engines, is disclosed. The NO.sub.x adsorber catalyst comprises a first layer consisting essentially of a support material, one or more platinum group metals disposed on the support material, and a NO.sub.x storage material.
