FLUID BED GRANULATOR
A fluidized bed granulator for production of urea-containing or nitrate-containing granules may include a granulator interior having granulator interior walls with a first granulator side wall, a second granulator side wall, a granulator front wall that extends transversely to the granulator side walls, and a granulator back wall that likewise extends transversely at the opposite end of the granulator interior from the granulator front wall, a horizontal perforated plate that bounds the granulator interior in a downward direction, a seed entry opening, and a granule exit opening that is disposed at a distance in front of the granulator back wall. A process for producing urea-containing or nitrate-containing granules may utilize the fluidized bed granulator.
Apparatus for preparing oligomer
The present disclosure provides an apparatus for preparing oligomer including: a reactor; a gas-liquid separator; a solvent transfer line; a second transfer line; a first spray nozzle unit; and a second spray nozzle unit. The apparatus is capable of improving stability of the entire process by including a first spray nozzle unit and a second spray nozzle unit in a reactor and thus preventing by-products containing polymer substances such as C20+ from being entrained with a desired product during a reaction.
Process for Multistage Hydroprocessing in a Single Reactor
The present invention provides a multistage single reactor system for hydroprocessing and a process of carrying out multistage hydroprocessing in the said reactor assembly consisting of, a fixed bed solid catalyst system, a feed injection system enabling axial flow of hydrogen saturated hydrocarbon feed, a hydrogen dispensing system inside the reactor enabling minimum required hydrogen flow in cross-flow pattern, also using multitudes of integrated separation and withdrawal limbs for continuous staging. The innovative reactor disclosed in the present invention enables continuous separation and withdrawal of gaseous products along the reactor length by means of combined horizontal reactor orientation and vertical separation limbs provided at the top of the horizontally oriented reactor. The advantage of the reactor assembly includes effective heat sink of exothermic reactions and lower severity of operation due to removal of inhibitory gaseous products.
APPARATUS FOR PREPARING OLIGOMER
An apparatus for preparing an oligomer including: a reactor supplied with a monomer stream and a solvent stream to perform an oligomerization reaction; a product discharge line provided on a lower portion of a side surface of the reactor; a washing liquid supply line connected to a first point of the product discharge line; and a washing liquid discharge line extending from a second point of the product discharge line, wherein the product discharge line includes a branch point at which the product discharge line is branched into two or more lines and a junction point at which the respective branched lines are joined, and the product discharge line includes pressure control devices provided in each of the two or more branched lines.
Vent gas purge optimizer for slurry loop polyethylene reactors
A method for minimizing the amount of catalyst inactivating agent that is present in a liquid fraction recovered from a slurry-based polymer production process, the liquid fraction comprising diluent used in the polymer production process, is disclosed. The method includes steps for controlling the pressure over the liquid fraction collected during diluent recovery so as to minimize the concentration of catalyst inactivating agent that is retained in the recovered liquid fraction. Embodiments of apparatus suitable for conducting the disclosed method are also provided.
OLIGOMERISER WITH AN IMPROVED FEED SYSTEM
In an embodiment, a reactor for carrying out a melt transesterification reaction at a reactor temperature of 160 to 300° C. and a reactor pressure of 5 to 200 mbar, comprises a cylindrical tank comprising a top, a side, and a bottom, wherein the bottom is convex, extending away from the top; a stirring shaft disposed within the cylindrical tank along an axis thereof so that it is rotatable from outside of the cylindrical tank; a stirring blade extending from the stirring shaft in the cylindrical tank; a reactant solution inlet located on the bottom; and a reaction solution outlet located on the bottom. The reactor can be used for the polymerization of a polycarbonate oligomer.
DEVICE FOR HANDLING CATALYST AND OTHER MATERIAL IN A REACTOR VESSEL
This invention relates to a robotic device 10.1, 10.2 and method for handling catalyst material 106, 206 in a reactor 100 by removing spent catalyst from the reactor and/or loading the reactor with fresh catalyst without an operator having to enter an interior of the reactor which increases operator safety. The robotic device includes a body 12, which is configured to engage a flange 104 of the reactor, and a handling arm which is configured for use both as a cleaning arm 18 and a loading arm 218. The handling arm is connected to the body and is angularly and longitudinally displaceable relative to the body. The handling arm has a segment which is telescopically extendible/retractable relative to the body. When used as a cleaning arm, the arm receives a vacuum line for removing catalyst. When used as a loading arm, a telescopic loading sleeve is connected to the segment.
