DIRECT SAMPLE COLLECTION PAD AND METHOD OF USE FOR ASSAY DIAGNOSIS
The invention relates to a direct sample collection pad for assay diagnosis of a sample without introducing an additional sampling device into the assay method. This simplifies the system and method of sample collection and assay diagnosis, thus reducing waste and potential for patient irritation or injury during diagnosis.
GLOVE ARRANGEMENT FOR A BARRIER SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a glove arrangement (20) for mounting to a barrier wall (15) of a barrier system (10) comprising a sleeve arrangement (21). The first and second sleeves (40, 41) comprise first and second internal surfaces (90, 91). The intermediate sleeve (40) comprises an intermediate internal surface (92), an outer perimeter (61) attached to the first sleeve (40) and an inner perimeter (62) attached to the second sleeve (41), the outer perimeter (61) having a greater diameter than the inner perimeter (62). In an extended configuration the first sleeve (40) extends from the second and intermediate sleeves (40) for use during manipulation of the glove (22) by an operator. In a retracted configuration the second sleeve (41) is retracted at least partially inside the first sleeve (40) about the intermediate sleeve (40) such that the first and second internal surfaces (90, 91) at least partially face each other. The intermediate sleeve (40) separates the intermediate internal surface (92) from itself and from the first and second internal surfaces (90, 91) to form a cavity (48) between the first, second and intermediate internal surfaces (90, 91, 92).
Slide chamber
The invention is directed to a slide chamber comprising a top member (10), a fluidic seal (20), a transparent closure member (30) and base member (40) wherein the top member (10) is provided with at least one examination chamber (11) and a plurality of openings (12) positioned at two sides of the cover member outside of the examination chamber (11); and the base member (40) is provided with interconnecting means (41) complementary to the openings (12) of the top member characterized in that the interconnecting means (41) of the base member (40) and the openings (12) of the top member (10) are configured to mechanically interlock with each other by lateral movement thereby pressing the top member (10) against the transparent closure (30) member in a water-tight manner.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR HANDLING SAMPLE CONTAINERS
A sample rack includes a housing that has multiple spaces or compartments each for receiving and retaining sample containers of various sizes. The sample rack includes dual hooks on the ends for engaging a sample rack handling system. Chamfers formed in the housing of the sample rack assist in placing and removing the sample rack from a sample rack handling system. The sample tube rack also includes a handle that extends upward from one end and includes gripping features. A groove and bar, incorporated into each sample rack, are able to selectively interlock with adjacent racks to assist in lifting multiple sample racks together.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FEMALE URINE SAMPLE COLLECTION
The present invention provides systems, methods and apparatus for enabling a female user to hygienically collect a urine sample, the apparatus includes a container including a urine collection body for receiving a urine sample from the female user with and a separator mechanism for separating a first volume of urine of the urine sample to a first urine storage element and a second volume of urine of the urine sample to a second urine storage element, a lid for closing the container after the urine sample has been received and optionally a handle for holding the container.
Pipette Tip
A pipette tip made of plastic with an elongated tubular body with a lower opening at the lower end for the passage of liquid and an upper opening at the upper end for clamping onto an attachment of a pipetting device, wherein a seating region for the attachment is present next to the upper opening on the inner circumference of the tubular body, wherein at least one flattened area extending in the axial direction is present next to the upper opening on the outer circumference of the tubular body, the wall thickness of the tubular body gradually decreases in a cross-section through the tubular body, starting from one of the two regions of the tubular body adjoining the flattened area, in the flattened area towards its central region, and the flattened area has in the cross-section through the tubular body a straight or a less strongly curved profile than the adjoining regions.
SAMPLE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SWAB
Provided herein are devices, kits, systems, and methods for collecting samples for analytical analysis and the safe disposal of sample collection devices after their use. The devices, kits, systems, and methods find use, for example, for disposing of biohazard materials by users in settings that may not be equipped with the professional biohazard disposal systems of laboratories, hospitals, and medical clinics.
Feed bag construction
A feed bag construction is provided comprising a feed bag, a first conduit sealed to the feed bag, a second conduit sealed to the interior of the feed bag for supplying wash reagent to the feed bag and a one piece cap that is removably mounted on the first conduit. The first conduit is provided with a hand operated butterfly valve to open or close the conduit.
CENTRIFUGE TUBE HOLDING ASSEMBLY
A centrifuge tube holding assembly includes a body having a front side, a back side, a top edge, a bottom edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The top edge has a plurality of apertures extending downwardly therein and each of the apertures may be used for removably receiving an ultracentrifuge tube. The front wall has an opening therein for viewing an open space positioned below the top edge. A panel is positioned over the opening. The panel is transparent to allow viewing through the panel.
The panel has measurement indicia thereon configured to be positioned to be alignable with the ultracentrifuge tube.
TOOL HOLDER FOR MANIPULATING SMALL OBJECTS
Described herein is a tool holder for small objects. A tool and tool holder as described herein improve the flexibility and ability to manipulate small objects (such as for example crystal used in X-ray crystallography) in a confined space.
