HIGH THROUGHPUT ANALYTICAL SYSTEM FOR MOLECULE DETECTION AND SENSING
The present disclosure describes a throughput-scalable image sensing system for analyzing biological or chemical samples is provided. The system includes a plurality of image sensors configured to detect at least a portion of light emitted as a result of analyzing the biological or chemical samples. The plurality of image sensors is arranged on a plurality of wafer-level packaged semiconductor dies of a single semiconductor wafer. Each image sensor of the plurality of image sensors is disposed on a separate packaged semiconductor die of the plurality of packaged semiconductor dies. Neighboring packaged semiconductor dies are separated by a dicing street; and the plurality of packaged semiconductor dies and a plurality of dicing streets are arranged such that the plurality of packaged semiconductor dies can be diced from the single semiconductor wafer as a group.
Multi-axis specimen imaging device with embedded orientation markers
A specimen holding and positioning apparatus operable to substantially non-movably maintain a specimen (e.g., an excised tissue specimen) in a fixed or stable orientation with respect to the apparatus during imaging operations (e.g., x-ray imaging), transport (e.g., from a surgery room to a pathologist's laboratory), and the like for use in facilitating accurate detection and diagnosis of cancers and/or other abnormalities of the specimen.
CONTRACTILE TISSUE-BASED ANALYSIS DEVICE
A contractile tissue-based analysis device is provided, in which a strip of contractile tissue is supported by support structure. The support structure comprises a substantially planar base element, and first and second support pillars extending from said base element. An optical detection device is arranged on the side of the base element opposite to said support pillars, and is arranged to capture image data from at least one of the head portions of the support pillars. The motion of the support pillars induced by the strip of contractile tissue can thus be captured from below, i.e. through the planar base element.
Method and system for localized heating by illumination of patterned thin films
This disclosure describes various reaction vessel configurations that include a housing component; a reaction chamber defined by the housing component; and a light absorbing layer conforming to a portion of an interior-facing surface of the housing component that defines the reaction chamber, the light absorbing layer comprising multiple discrete regions. An energy source may direct light at one or more of the discrete regions of the light absorbing layer so as to heat the discrete regions and ultimately heat a solution within a reaction chamber.
Sample collection system including valve and plug assemblies
A biological sample collection system can include (i) a sample collection vessel having an opening for receiving a biological sample, (ii) a selectively movable valve comprising a core and a collar disposed about the core, and (iii) a sealing cap coupled to the collar and comprising a reagent chamber for storing a measure of sample preservation reagent. The sealing cap is configured to associate—and form a fluid tight connection—with the sample collection vessel such that associating the sealing cap with the sample collection vessel causes a physical rearrangement of the core relative to the collar such that a fluid vent associated with the core is moved into fluid communication with the reagent chamber, thereby permitting sample preservation reagent to pass from the regent chamber to the sample collection vessel.
System, method and apparatus for cancer detection
Systems, methods, techniques, devices and apparatuses for detecting cancer. A handheld device which performs an automated analysis from a droplet of whole blood for other bodily fluid. The device is inexpensive, non-invasive, easy to use, and easily transportable, enabling better screening for a wider range of diseases, enabling the detection of metastases at an earlier stage, when interventions are more effective, enabling regular monitoring of patients receiving therapy or those in remission, and enabling a major contribution to the growing body of scientific evidence on how to treat certain cancers based on information gathered about the genomic profile of a tumor. In short, the present invention saves more lives, with fewer resources, and causing minimal harm than prior art techniques.
BODY FLUID ANALYTE DETECTION DEVICE AND CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING DEVICE
A body fluid analyte detection device, includes: a transmitter, provided with at least one first clamping part; a bottom shell, provided with a second clamping part corresponding to the first clamping part, the transmitter being assembled on the bottom shell by mutual snap fitting of the first clamping part and the second clamping part, the bottom shell including a fixing part and a force application part, and the fixing part being fixed and applying a force to the force application part in a direction to disable the bottom shell, so that the first clamping part and the second clamping part are separated from each other, and then the bottom shell and the transmitter are separated; a battery, used for supplying power to the transmitter; a sensor, used for detecting body fluid analyte parameter information and electrically connected to the transmitter to transmit a parameter signal.
Detection method and means therefor
Disclosed is a FRET based assay and related products. The assay employs molecular imprinted polymers having a very high affinity for their target.
Analytic substrate coating apparatus and method
An apparatus and method for producing a coated analytic substrate using a compact and portable automated instrument located in the laboratory setting at the point of use which can consistently produce one or a plurality of coated analytic substrates “on demand” for using the analytic substrate immediately after coating, preferably without a step of rinsing the coated analytic substrate before use. The apparatus preferably uses applicator cartridges having a reservoir containing the coating compositions used to form the coatings. Preferably the cartridges are removable and interchangeable to facilitate the production of individual analytic substrates having different coatings or different coating patterns. These coated analytic substrates have superior specimen adhesion characteristics due to the improved quality of the coatings applied by the coating apparatus and due to the quickness with which the coated analytic substrates can be used in the lab after production.
Biological chip, manufacturing method thereof, operation method thereof, and biological detection system
A biological chip, a manufacturing method thereof, an operation method thereof, and a biological detection system are provided. The biological chip includes a base substrate and a plurality of working units. The plurality of the working units are arranged on the base substrate; each of the working units includes a working element configured to be in contact with a target substance; and the working element includes a metal electrode and an electric-field-controllable surface modification layer on a surface of the metal electrode.
