Tire processing apparatus and method of use
This invention relates to a tire processing apparatus for processing large used tires as are found from industrial mining applications. The present invention relates particularly to a tire processing apparatus comprising a head that is operable to move about two or more axes at a first end of a swing arm, the head further having a rasp operable to strip rubber particles from a stationary tire for use of the particles as a landscaping mulch. In various embodiments, the apparatus also comprises a head with a circular saw operable to cut a portion of the tire into a livestock trough. The invention also includes a method using the above. The system and method in its various embodiments are particularly adept at processing used tires from mining industry applications.
System, machine and method for reducing size or volume of objects
A machine or system and related method for breaking and reducing the bulk size of one or more objects and comprising: a frame, a reception chamber and a size reduction mechanism. The size reduction mechanism includes a drum rotatably coupled to the frame and configured to oscillate relative to the frame between a first position and a second position about a longitudinal rotational axis; a cutting member coupled to the drum and extending therefrom, the cutting member being configured to penetrate through one or more of the objects in the reception chamber during operation as the drum rotates from the first position to the second position during each oscillation cycle; and a breaking screen comprising a series of spaced breaking members configured to cause further breakdown of the one or more pieces of the one or more objects during operation as the drum rotates toward the second position during each oscillation cycle and forces the one or more pieces against the breaking members. An optional chute may be coupled to the outlet of the machine or system for further compacting and disposing of the bulk material output by the machine.
Methods and systems for facilitating pollution-free tire recycling processes
A system and method for freezing and breaking down tires or other materials is disclosed. The system and method for freezing and breaking down tires includes using a shredder to shred the tires, using a filter to screen the tire shreds, using a water sprayer to rinse the tire shreds, using a freezing tunnel to freeze the tire shreds before they are crushed into tire grains, using a magnet to remove any metallic fibers, filtering out any oversized tire grains for re-freezing and re-crushing, and using a separator to separate out any oversized or undersized pieces before bagging the final tire grains for re-use and recycling.
Method for comminuting heat-sensitive feedstock
A method for comminuting heat-sensitive feedstock, particularly thermoplastics, rubber, caoutchouc, and elastomers, to a particle size of less than 500 m, preferably less than 425 m. Process steps are provided to achieve an economic material processing without the use of cryogenic comminution. First, a precomminution of the feedstock to a size smaller than 4 mm is performed in a rotating comminuting device through which a first process gas PG.sub.1 flows. Then, a fine grinding is performed of the precomminuted feedstock to a size smaller than 500 m, preferably smaller than 425 m, in a rotating fine grinding device through which a second process gas PG.sub.2 flows. Whereby the temperature of the precomminuted feedstock in the outlet of the fine grinding is regulated in a second control circuit by adding water to the precomminuted feedstock before and/or during and/or after the fine grinding.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUSES FOR MANUFACTURING MICRONIZED POWDER
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for manufacturing micronized powder. The systems, methods, and apparatuses comprise pre-grinding processing, cryogenic freezing, and grinding of infeed material and warming, ferrous metal and fiber removal, accumulation, screening, and storage of micronized powder. Generally, the warming may involve recirculation of micronized powder through the warming apparatus. Further, the accumulation may permit the grinding and screening to occur at their respectively optimal rates, and the fiber removal, via use of a vibrating screener, may increase the purity of the micronized powder. In one embodiment, the micronized powder comprises micronized rubber powder (MRP).
