Magnetic Ljungstrom filter
A heat exchange apparatus for removing magnetic particulates from a gas stream, including a rotating element basket having a regenerative heat exchanger and at least one magnetic element. A method of removing magnetic particulates from a gas stream, including heating the regenerative heat exchanger during a first portion of a cycle as a segment of the rotating element basket passes through a first zone wherein contact is made with a flue gas thereby accumulating any magnetic particulates as they are attached to the magnetic element. Then cleaning a portion of the magnetic element during a second portion of the cycle. And cooling the regenerative heat exchanger and simultaneously heating an inlet air stream during a third portion of the cycle as the segment of the rotating element basket passes through a third zone wherein fluidic contact is made with the air inlet stream.
MEDIA RECLAIM SYSTEM AND WORKPIECE PROCESSING ASSEMBLY
A workpiece processing assembly comprising including a media collection device that is adapted to receive used media from a media blasting chamber. A transport mechanism, coupled to the media collection device, transports used media to a media reclaim system. A first separation device is used to perform a filtering process on the used media to separate non-usable media from usable media. A second separation device is configured to apply a magnetic field to the usable media to create recycled media for use in the media blasting chamber.

MAGNETIC PARTICLE MANIPULATING APPARATUS
A magnetic particle manipulating apparatus includes a magnetic force source moving mechanism, an operation controller configured to control operation of the magnetic source moving mechanism, an openable cover for covering the device holder, a pressing mechanism provided on the cover to press the tubular device held by the device holder when the cover is closed so that warpage of the tubular device is corrected, an open/close state detector provided so as to detect an open/close state of the cover. The operation controller is configured to execute the processing operation only in a case where the open/close state detector detects that the cover is closed.

PURIFICATION APPARATUS AND PURIFICATION METHOD
A purification apparatus includes a holding unit including a bottom plate for supporting a bottom portion of a container to be mounted, and a magnetic unit arranged on the bottom plate or below the bottom plate so as to face the bottom portion of the container. The magnetic unit fixes magnetic particles of an amorphous metal to an inner bottom portion or an inner wall of the container so as to separate a liquid in the container and the magnetic particles contained in the liquid from each other and/or to collect the liquid while leaving the magnetic particles in the container.

MAGNETIC LINK BELT SYSTEM FOR CLARIFYING WATER
A belt system for a water treatment system comprising a flocculation tank. The flocculation tank is configured for receiving wastewater having one or more of unwanted waste solids, unwanted particulates, suspended solids via the ingress and for mixing the wastewater with a flocculating agent and magnetite within the flocculation tank. The belt system comprises a looped belt comprising a plurality of rare earth magnets. The first looped belt is mounted within an extraction portion of the flocculation tank. A first portion of the first looped belt is above a water level inside the flocculation tank. A second portion of the first looped belt is submerged in the flocculation tank. A first scraper is positioned proximate to the first looped belt that is above the water level. A container is below the first scraper and the first looped belt and above the water level. An auger is within the container.

Particle separation system
A particle separator including a rotor disposed inside a housing. The rotor has a plurality of magnetic sections that are arranged with alternating poles. A drive rotates the rotor to generate a changing magnetic field. Magnetic particles and non-magnetic conductive particles are removed from a liquid that flows through the particle separator. The magnetic particles attach to the rotor and the non-magnetic conductive particles are repelled away from the rotor by the changing magnetic field.
