FLUID PIPE MAGNETIZATION UNIT AND FLUID PIPE MAGNETIZATION DEVICE WITH THE SAME
A fluid pipe magnetization unit includes a ferromagnetism casing, a plurality of magnetic rods, and at least one flow limiting element. The magnetic rods include at least one first magnetic rod and at least one second magnetic rod. Inner elements of the first magnetic rod and the second magnetic rod are alternately positioned with opposite magnetic poles in the ferromagnetism casing. The at least one flow limiting element is arranged in at least one weak magnetic area in the ferromagnetism casing to prevent fluid from flowing through the at least one weak magnetic area. In addition, a fluid pipe magnetization device with the same is also disclosed herein.
Electromagnetic fluid filter using magnetostrictive sensors
In at least one illustrative embodiment, an electromagnetic filter may include a transfer pipe and multiple electromagnetic filter elements positioned in an interior volume of the pipe. Each electromagnetic filter element includes a support comb, a solenoid coupled to the support comb, and multiple magnetic members arranged in a planar array positioned within an opening of the support comb. Each magnetic member may rotate about an end that is coupled to the support comb. The magnetic members may be magnetostrictive sensors and may include a biorecognition element to bind with a target microorganism. A method for fluid filtration includes coupling the electromagnetic filter between a fluid source and a fluid destination, energizing the solenoids of each electromagnetic filter elements, and flowing a fluid media through the transfer pipe of the electromagnetic filter. The fluid media may be liquid food such as fruit juice. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Magnetic separation device and method of use
The current invention relates to the method and apparatus to magnetically separate biological entities with magnetic labels from a fluid sample. The claimed magnetic separation device removes biological entities with magnetic labels from its fluidic solution by using a soft-magnetic center pole with two soft-magnetic side poles. The claimed device further includes processes to dissociate entities conglomerate after magnetic separation.
Method and Apparatus for Processing Material
A target substance is collected from a composition by using magnetically responsive particles and a magnetic transfer probe. The composition may be prepared, e.g., by introducing magnetically responsive particles to a sample. The particles selectively bind to a target substance of the composition. The target substance and the particles are collected from the sample by using the magnetic transfer probe, which comprises a probe magnet. The probe magnet is a permanent magnet, which comprises a cylindrical portion and a convex bottom portion adjoining the cylindrical portion. The particle collection region of the magnetic transfer probe is at a low position, which allows collecting the particles from a small amount of the prepared composition.
Magnetic particle washing station
Embodiments of the invention relate to a clinical instrument analyzer system for the automatic analysis of patient samples. In one embodiment, the analyzer may be used to analyze bodily fluid samples, such as blood, plasma, serum, urine or cerebrospinal fluid, for example. Embodiments of the invention relate to an apparatus and method, for example, an immunoassay method, for separating out target molecules in a magnetic field and then analyzing those target molecules with a luminometer.
Method and apparatus for measuring and inactivating pathogens using magnetizable devices in a body
An apparatus and method collect and deactivate pathogens (for example, coronaviruses) within a magnetic particle in order to reduce the number of active pathogens in a body.
Method and apparatus for measuring and inactivating pathogens using magnetizable devices in a body
An apparatus and method collect and deactivate pathogens (for example, coronaviruses) within a magnetic particle in order to reduce the number of active pathogens in a body.
Magnetic removal or identification of damaged or compromised cells or cellular structures
A method for cellular separation, including: combining sperm with magnetic particles comprising a negative zeta potential charge to form an admixture, each magnetic particle being no greater than 1,000 nm; binding a subpopulation of said sperm to said magnetic particles through an electrical charge interaction to provide a bound subpopulation; and magnetically separating said bound subpopulation from unbound sperm.
INSULATING JACKET FOR A FILTER
An insulating cover for a central heating system filter is provided in two parts. The insulating cover may be made from, for example, expanded polypropylene foam. The cover may include magnets for attracting and retaining magnetic debris within the filter. The cover may include a leadscrew arrangement to assist with removal of the cover from the filter for servicing.
Method for performing a magnetic separation procedure
A method for performing a magnetic separation procedure that includes transporting a receptacle containing a fluid medium to a first location of a system, where the fluid medium contains both a sample material and a suspension of magnetically-responsive solid supports. At the first location, the fluid medium is exposed to a first magnetic field for a first dwell period, thereby isolating the solid supports within the receptacle, where no portion of the fluid medium is removed from the receptacle at the first location. The receptacle is then transported from the first location to a second location of the system, where the fluid medium is exposed to a second magnetic field for a second dwell period. Following the second dwell period, at least a portion of the fluid medium is removed from the receptacle. A suspension fluid is then dispensed into the receptacle, and the contents of the receptacle are agitated to suspend the solid supports within the suspension fluid.
