Improved Apparatus for Cleaning Spray Guns and Bells
20180369852 · 2018-12-27 · ·

An improved cleaner for paint spray guns in use on an assembly line comprises a vessel having an inlet, a drain and a port for receiving an atomizer of a spray gun. An impeller is rotatably mounted within the vessel in fluid communication with the inlet. The impeller has an offset cleaning nozzle for projecting a cleaning spray towards the port, a rotational nozzle for projecting a rotational spray to effect rotation of the impeller. The impeller also has an independently controlled central nozzle cleaning nozzle. The cleaner has an air wipe down for removing excess solvent from the atomizer of the spray gun as it leaves the cleaner following a wash cycle. The cleaner comprises a helical flushing means and a solvent purge assembly to clean the inner walls of the vessel. An air and solvent separation fitting provides improved solvent drainage efficiency.

Method for treating objects and system therefor
10052646 · 2018-08-21 · ·

A method and system for treating objects, the objects are conveyed through a treatment cabin and treated in a treatment space. During treatment solvents are released. Cabin air flows through the treatment space, which absorbs solvents and is discharged as process air from the treatment space. At least one proportion of the process air charged with solvent is recycled in the treatment space and at least one proportion of the process air can be discharged as exhaust air. Fresh air is fed to the treatment space, which contributes to the cabin air, such that the cabin air includes a circulating air proportion and a fresh air proportion. The solvent concentration is captured in the cabin air and/or in the process air and/or in the exhaust air and the circulating air proportion and the fresh air proportion of the cabin air are regulated as a function of the captured solvent concentration.

Satellite paint waste recovery system
09839935 · 2017-12-12 ·

A satellite paint waste recovery system for a painting system which reduces hazardous waste generation, providing instead a plurality of solvent mixes which are reusable by the painting system. The satellite paint waste recovery system employs a method of capturing reusable solvent when changing paint colors in the painting system which includes flushing a discrete color of paint loaded in the painting system with fresh solvent and capturing the discrete color of paint flushed and some of the flushing solvent as a discrete color solvent mix in a discrete container each time the paint color sought to be used in the painting system is changed. The discrete color of solvent mix can subsequently be reused to thin a new container of paint instead of using new solvent.

An installation for surface treating, in particular painting, objects, in particular vehicle body parts, having a treatment booth which defines a treatment space in which a booth atmosphere prevails. The objects can be transported into the treatment space and out of it again by means of a transport system. Treatment of the objects in the treatment space can be carried out by means of at least one treatment unit which requires a process gas for the operation. The process gas can be supplied to the at least one treatment unit by means of a supply device, wherein the process gas arrives in the treatment space during the treatment procedure and thus contributes to the booth atmosphere. A separating system is provided, to which booth atmosphere can be supplied and by means of which process gas can be separated from the booth atmosphere. A corresponding process is moreover disclosed.

Surface treatment device and method for operating a surface treatment device

In order to provide a surface treatment device for treating a surface of a workpiece which is operable simply and safely, it is proposed that the surface treatment device include the following: a work region in which the surface of the workpiece is treatable; a flow guiding device by means of which a gas stream is guidable through the work region; a solvent separating device for separating off solvent from the gas stream that is guided through the work region, wherein the solvent separating device is configured to be put selectively in a separating condition or in a rest condition, wherein, in the separating condition, the solvent separating device separates off solvent from the gas stream.
