Rotary atomizing head type coating machine
A bearing air passage through which bearing air is supplied toward an air bearing of an air motor and a turbine air passage through which driving air is supplied toward a turbine are provided in a housing. An annular space surrounding the air motor is provided between the housing and a cover. A bearing air branch passage connecting the annular space and the bearing air passage to each other and a turbine air branch passage for connecting the annular space and the turbine air passage to each other are provided. The air branch passages lead a part of the compressed air to the annular space and keep the cover in a heated state.

Apparatus for depositing a thin layer of polymer resist on a substrate
The present inventions relate to the formation of a thin polymer film on a substrate. Apparatus is described for transforming a solid polymer resist into an aerosol of small particles, electrostatically charging and depositing the particles onto a substrate, and flowing the particles into a continuous layer. Apparatus is further described for transforming solid resist into an aerosol of small particles by heating the resist to form a low viscosity liquid such as is compatible with nebulization and applying the techniques of jet or impact nebulization and aerosol particle sizing to form the aerosol. A method is further described of using ionized gas to confer charge onto the aerosol particles and using a progression of charging devices establish an electric field directing the flow of charged particles to the substrate. The progression of charging devices and associated apparatus results in high collection efficiency for the aerosol particles.
Microfluidic delivery system
Microfluidic delivery systems for dispensing a fluid composition into the air comprising microfluidic die and at least one heating element that is configured to receive an electrical signal comprising a certain on-time and wave form to deliver a fluid composition into the air.
System for application of powder coatings to electrically non-conductive elements
A method and system for powder coating non electrically conductive elements, preferably brake pads. A pre-treatment station is upstream of an electrostatic powder coating deposition station and a baking station for melting and polymerizing the powder coating in order to form a coating layer on a surface to be coated. The pre-treatment station causes the elements to be coated to conduct electrically by uniformly wetting said elements by means of creating poorly mineralized water covalent bonds on at least one surface to be coated, in an amount aimed at producing a measurable weight increase in the non electrically conductive elements, which then causes them to conduct electrically. The water adsorbed and/or deposited is subsequently eliminated within the baking station.
SINGLE ELECTRON TRANSISTOR (SET), CIRCUIT CONTAINING SET AND ENERGY HARVESTING DEVICE, AND FABRICATION METHOD
A method for fabricating a single electron transistor is provided. A substrate includes a substantially planar surface with a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a gate electrode thereon, with the source and drain electrodes spaced apart from one another by a gap. The source electrode and the drain electrode are electrified, and a single nanometer-scale conductive particle is electrospray deposited in the gap. The single nanometer-scale conductive particle has an effective size of not greater than 10 nanometers. At least one carbon nanotube is deposited on the substrate and subjected to dielectrophoresis to position the carbon nanotube within 1 nanometer of the single nanometer-scale conductive particle. The at least one carbon nanotube establishes a first connection between the source electrode and the single nanometer-scale conductive particle and a second connection between the drain electrode and the single nanometer-scale conductive particle.
Electrostatic coating device
An electrostatic coating device is provided with a housing, which has a cascade housing section that houses a cascade, and a motor housing section that houses an air motor. A clearance between the cascade and the inner wall of a first housing hole forms a first air flow passage. Furthermore, an annular clearance between the air motor (specifically, an air turbine) and the inner wall of a motor chamber forms a second air flow passage. The first air flow passage and the second air flow passage are communicated with each other via, for instance, a third air flow passage that includes a first communication passage, a circular recessed section, a second communication passage, and a third communication passage.
