ELECTROSTATIC SPRAY DRYER APPARATUS AND METHOD
An electrostatic spray drying system comprising an electrostatic spray nozzle for directing electrically charged liquid into a drying chamber, a drying gas inlet from which drying gas is simultaneously directed, and a conical powder direction plenum for receiving drying gas and entrained dried powder for direction to a filter containing powder separation plenum via a connecting conduit. The powder direction plenum and connecting conduit each have a surrounding water jacket heat exchanger through which cooling water is directed for cooling the drying gas and powder below damaging temperatures prior to entry into the powder separation plenum. The powder separation plenum has a return line for redirecting separated drying gas to the drying chamber through a condenser, blower, and heater for reuse in the system, with condensed water being selectively redirected to the inlet of the powder direction plenum heat exchanger and/or to the cooling water supply.

A liquid-repellent plastic molded body 1 according to the present invention has a liquid-repellent surface. The liquid-repellent surface has a re-entrant structure surface formed by an array of pillars 20 each having a head portion 20a with an enlarged diameter. At least a part of the re-entrant structure surface has a fluorine-containing surface in which fluorine atoms are distributed.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING HEATING CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An additive manufacturing system includes an additive manufacturing tool configured to supply a plurality of droplets to a part, a temperature control device configured to control a temperature of the part, and a controller configured to control the composition, formation, and application of each droplet to the plurality of droplets to the part independent from control of the temperature of the part via the temperature control device. The plurality of droplets is configured to build up the part. Each droplet of the plurality of droplets includes at least one metallic anchoring material.
ELECTROSTATIC PARTICLE SPREADER FOR POWDER BED FUSION ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
The present disclosure involves a powder particle deposition system for use with an additive manufacturing system, for moving powder particles without physical contact, to recreate a powder bed. The system uses a powder particle container forming a first electrode. A second electrode is spaced apart from the powder particle container and arranged non-parallel to the powder particle container. A signal source applies an electrical signal across the first and second electrodes to create an electric field between the electrodes which varies in strength, such that the electric field is stronger at one side of the powder particle container. This causes the powder particles to move out from the powder container, toward the second electrode, and then to be repelled by the second electrode and to fall onto the powder bed.
Coating apparatus and coating method
Disclosed are a coating apparatus and a coating method. The coating apparatus includes a chamber, a support located in an interior space of the chamber and configured to support a substrate which is to be coated, an ejection nozzle configured to eject a coating material toward the support, and an electric field forming unit configured to form an electric field in a movement path of the coating material to provide kinetic energy for the coating material.
DEVICE AND INSTALLATION FOR THE ELECTROSTATIC POWDER COATING OF OBJECTS
A device for the powder coating of objects includes a main body on which an electrode arrangement designed for producing a powder cloud is arranged and on which a metering device is arranged above the electrode arrangement and is designed for the controlled discharge of an amount of a powder onto the electrode arrangement. A powder coating installation is equipped with at least one such device for powder coating.
POWDER SPRAYING HEAD AND POWDER COATING INSTALLATION WITH SUCH
A powder spraying head for spraying a powder on a can body to be coated comprises a work chamber inside the powder spraying head, a powder tube for providing the powder, a charging electrode for charging the powder with an electrostatic charge and a guiding electrode for deflecting the powder present inside the work chamber substantially in the direction of the work opening. The charging electrode is arranged in the area of the powder outlet and is formed with a tip in the direction of the powder streaming into the work chamber. Additionally or alternatively, the guiding electrode is plate-shaped and a flat side of the guiding electrode is oriented towards the work chamber.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DRY POWDER COATING LAYERS OF AN ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL
A system for forming a particle layer on a substrate may include at least one sprayer and at least two masks configured to selectively mask a substrate in a first region and second region of the substrate. The at least one sprayer may be configured to spray particles at the substrate, where the at least two masks maintain the first region and second region substantially free of the deposited material. A heater may be employed to heat the substrate as the particles are sprayed by the at least one sprayer onto the substrate.
Electrospray Device for Fluidized Bed Apparatus, Fluidized Bed Apparatus and Method
The electrospray device comprises a sprayer comprising a sprayer body and nozzle, and a partition positioned vertically and coaxially with the sprayer. The sprayer body is provided with a swirl generator for generating a swirling air stream, and a power supply connected between the nozzle and the partition, to apply voltage to the nozzle and the partition. The electrospray device may be part of a fluidized bed apparatus comprising a product container, a lower plenum base, an air distribution plate resided therebetween. When the power supply applies voltage in opposite polarities to the nozzle and the partition, the fluidized bed apparatus is used for coating particles; and when the power supply applies voltage of the same, the fluidized bed apparatus is used for spray-drying a solution. The electrospray device uses an electromagnetic hydrodynamic method to improve the performance of the fluidized bed apparatus and optimize the process of product.
