FIRE-RATED STRUCTURAL OSB PANELS WITH OVERLAID WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
A wood or engineered wood structural panel, such as, but not limited to, OSB (“oriented strand board”) or plywood, that is both fire-resistant and water resistant. The panel is factory-coated with a product that provides fire resistance. The treatment gives it a Fire-Resistant (FR) performance (for use in a one- or two-hour rated assembly). The panel also is overlaid or coated in a factory setting with a weather/water resistive barrier (WRB). The structural panel thus combines a fire-resistant structural sheathing and WRB product in one integrated panel produced at a factory prior for installation at a job site.
METHOD FOR TREATING SURFACE OF FLOOR
The disclosure belongs to the technical field of floor preparation, and provides a method for treating a surface of a floor. Compared with traditional methods for preparing floor, in the method according to the disclosure, an embossing is performed not directly after laminating, but after applying a wear-resistant primer, and a topcoat is then applied. Therefore, the resulting embossed floor has a clear texture. Further, the composition of the wear-resistant primer could be optimized, such that the resulting embossed floor exhibits excellent wear resistance and hardness.
Method for Producing a Matt Support Material Provided With an Anti-Fingerprint Coating
Provided is method for producing a support material provided with at least one anti-fingerprint coating including the steps of applying at least one layer of at least one powdered resin to at least one side of the support material; melting on the at least one applied layer of the one powdered resin; applying at least one acrylate-containing dispersion to the melted-on resin layer; and drying and curing the layered structure.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PANEL
A method is provided for manufacturing a panel. of the method may involve supplying a substrate having an upper side. A layer may be provided onto the upper side. The upper side may be irradiated so as to cure at least a part of the layer by irradiation, hence forming the panel. The layer may include a liquid coating on substantially the entire upper side and a substance which is digitally printed locally on the upper side. The substance and the liquid coating may cooperate such that either (1) the coating and the substance react with each other, whereas the substance is a liquid that is printed on the upper side before the coating is applied and wherein the substance and the coating have different surface tensions, or (2) the coating is non-curable or only curable to a limited extent by the irradiation, whereas the substance makes the coating curable by the irradiation at locations where they meet each other.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DECORATIVE MOLDED PART
Method for producing a decorative molded part, in which a veneer is joined to a substrate on its rear side opposite a visible surface of the veneer, and in which the visible surface of the veneer is bleached differently to produce a bleaching pattern.
Transfer film and membrane coverings for panel products
A membrane covered panel and a membrane covered panel production method are provided wherein an elastomeric membrane, and preferably, an aqueous elastomeric resin-based membrane, is applied to a finished panel construct, prior to pressing of the membrane covered panel. The method is used to produce panels which can be used in the production of flooring materials, wall panels, furniture, countertops, and the like. The membrane is applied to a transfer film, which transfer film can be removed at any time prior to, or after the pressing operation. The panels produced have a durable but elastic surface which can protect the surfaces of the panel construct. The elastomeric covering on the panel construct also preferably provides a surface which is abrasion resistant, and provides better acoustical properties while providing a soft touch haptic surface.
Method for treating a panel of wood-based material and building panel with a core of wood-based material
A method for treating a panel of wood-based material to achieve an adhesive-free surface after a decoration (2) has been printed onto at least an upper side of the panel of wood-based material, is distinguished by the fact that a cellulose-free top layer (3) of melamine resin with mixed-in glass beads (5) is applied to the decoration (2), and this top layer (8) is dried before a wear-resistant layer (6) is applied to the top layer (8).
CELLULOSE FIBER-BASED SUBSTRATE, ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND USE AS MASKING TAPE
A cellulose fiber-based substrate, at least one side of which is coated with an aqueous mixture composed of: a) at least one water-soluble polymer (WSP) containing hydroxyl groups, b) at least one lactone substituted with at least one linear or branched and/or cyclic C.sub.8-C.sub.30 hydrocarbon chain which may contain heteroatoms, c)at least one crosslinking agent. A method of production and use thereof.
Method and device for producing a structured varnish surface
The invention relates to a method for producing a structured, at least partly optically transparent varnish surface on a surface of a substrate board, preferably of a wood material board, having a decoration. The steps of the method include applying a transparent or at least partly transparent varnish to an applicator roll thereby producing a structured varnish surface and transferring the structured varnish surface to a substrate board having a decoration. The varnish is applied to the applicator roll by a plurality of digitally controlled nozzles in a distribution defining a structure and/or is transformed on the applicator roll into a distribution defining a structure. Furthermore, a device for carrying out the method is described.
TREATED POROUS MATERIAL
The present disclosure describes a treated cellulosic material comprising: a cellulosic material having a porous structure defining a plurality of pores, at least a portion of the pores containing a treating agent comprising: a polymer comprising an olefin-carboxylic acid copolymer; and a modifying agent comprising a hydrophobic amine.
