LIQUID-REPELLENT HEAT SEALABLE FILM AND COATING AGENT
The present invention is a liquid-repellent heat sealable film that is excellent in liquid repellency and heat-sealing property, and has durability. The film comprises: a resin layer applied and formed on at least one surface of a substrate; and a large number of oxide microparticles adhered to the surface of the resin layer, wherein, in the resin layer, a plurality of heat-sealable particulate resins is bonded to each other, while maintaining their particulate forms, and is also bonded to the substrate surface to form a projecting and recessed structure, and the oxide microparticles are adhered to the surface of the particulate resin in an exposed state, without being buried.
HOSE WITH RUBBER AND PLASTIC
A hose is provided comprising a rubber backing layer directly bonded to a continuous polyamide layer without an intervening adhesive layer, wherein the hose exhibits increased low and high temperature capability and decreased permeation compared to standard automotive refrigerant hoses.

Multi-Layer Thermoplastic Spray Coating System for High Performance Sealing on Airplanes
Tunable multi-layer thermoplastic polymer sealants and tunable two-layer conductive thermoplastic polymer sealants, and substrates and assemblies comprising the tunable multi-layer sealants; and edge seals and fillet seals produced comprising such sealants; and substrates, components and objects comprising the tunable edge seals and fillet seals, and methods for making and applying such edge seals and fillet seals are disclosed.
INTERNAL ANTICORROSIVE AND ABRASIVE RESISTANT PROTECTION COATING FOR PIPES
The present invention includes an inner anticorrosive and abrasive resistant coating (10) for metallic pipes (1) used for the transport of fluids. The coating includes: a layer of epoxy resin (2) having free hydroxyl groups, which are applied directly to the inside (1a) of the metallic pipe (1); a layer of thermoplastic adhesive (3) applied directly onto the layer of epoxy resin; and a layer of a plastic material (4) containing polyvinylidene fluoride or polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF).
Method of forming a multilayer coating film
Provided herein is a method of forming a multilayer coating film including coating, onto an object to be coated, a water-based primer coating composition, wet-on-wet coating a first water-based coloring coating composition, wet-on-wet coating a second water-based coloring coating composition, coating a clear coating composition, and simultaneous hardening of the formed multilayer coating film. The water-based primer coating composition contains a water-based polyolefin resin, a water-based polyurethane resin, a curing agent, and conductive carbon. The first and second water-based coloring coating compositions, each, as base resins, contain a core/shell-type emulsion including an acrylic resin core portion and a polyurethane resin shell portion. The clear coating composition contains a hydroxy-group-containing acrylic resin and a polyisocyanate compound.
Brush composition, and method of producing structure containing phase-separated structure
A method of producing a structure containing a phase-separated structure, the method including: applying a brush composition to a substrate to form a brush layer; forming a layer containing a block copolymer on the brush layer; and phase-separating the layer containing the block copolymer, the brush composition including a resin component (A), the resin component (A) containing a polymeric compound (A1) in which a first polymer block and a second polymer block are bonded to each other through a linking group containing a substrate adhering group.
Method for producing heat-dissipating sheet having high thermal conductivity
A heat-dissipating sheet having a density of 1.9 g/cm.sup.3 or more and an in-plane thermal conductivity of 570 W/mK or more, which comprises carbon black uniformly dispersed among fine graphite particles, a mass ratio of fine graphite particles to carbon black being 75/25 to 95/5, is obtained by repeating plural times a cycle of applying a dispersion of fine graphite particles, carbon black and an organic binder in an organic solvent to a surface of a support plate, and then drying it, to form a resin-containing composite sheet; burning the resin-containing composite sheet to remove the organic binder; and pressing the resultant composite sheet of fine graphite particles and carbon black for densification.
Process for treating wood
A cellulosic material is treated by providing a cellulosic material such as wood or a wood composite, which is impregnated with an aqueous dispersion comprising a polymer, the polymer comprising an olefin-carboxylic acid copolymer. The cellulosic material is then impregnated with a modifying agent, the modifying agent comprising a polyamine having greater than or equal to 2 amine groups. The modifying agent at least partially crosslinks the polymer within the cellulosic material.
