The control method includes: turning up, in response to a request of starting vibration, a revolving speed of an engine until the revolving speed exceeds a preset revolving speed range and turning down a displacement of a driving pump; starting a vibration pump; judging whether a vibration assembly has completed a vibration start; turning down, after the vibration start is completed, the revolving speed of the engine to be within the preset revolving speed range, turning up the displacement of the driving pump, and turning up a displacement of the vibration pump. The road roller machine includes a main body, an engine, a driving assembly, a driving pump, a vibration pump, a vibration assembly and a controller.

Earth vibrators, such as servo-hydraulic vibrators, are improved to produce more output force and less distortion at very low frequencies by capturing mass from the vehicles which carry them, adding sufficient inertial mass to the reaction mass without adding much vehicle and equipment weight while also avoiding increases to the servo-hydraulic vibrator's stroke length. In particular, improvements to servo-hydraulic vibrators, at low frequencies, will couple some mass from the carrier vehicle frame and its load using non-rigid coupling only when additional mass is needed using dampers connected between the reaction mass and the carrier vehicle's frame, with the added damping being applied by a control system at very low frequencies of output where the vibrator is otherwise unable to produce force equal to its hold-weight.

The vibratory compactor may also include a housing having an inner volume, the housing coupled to the frame by at least one isolator with the frame and the at least one load bearing member located within the inner volume. The housing may be coupled to an arm of an excavator. In response to force being applied to the housing by the excavator during compaction, the housing moves with respect to the frame until a top member of the housing contacts the at least one load bearing member and compacts soil more effectively than a vibratory compactor without the load bearing member.

A ballast force acting between the tamping unit and the track bed is determined by way of the driving force and the acceleration, and is evaluated.

The seat portion defines a hemispherical shaped recess with a contour for receiving the ball. The ball transfer mechanism is in an exterior wall of a housing for converting rotary motion to linear motion, driving a linear piston motor. The harmonic drive drives a rotor of the linear piston motor. The harmonic drive includes a hollow cylindrical coupler portion engaging a rotor portion for transferring torque to the rotor portion. Transfer mechanisms disposed along a housing wall of the linear piston motor engage the coupler portion. The coupler portion includes harmonic cam grooves for receiving spherical balls in the ball transfer mechanism that drives rotational motion in the rotor in response to axially linear movement of the piston assembly.
