Rolling Mill Stand
The object of this invention is a rolling mill stand with one pair of work rolls for a rolling metal strip, with intermediate rolls and back-up rolls. Here, the work rolls are supported at the sides by supporting systems, where a supporting force directed towards the work roll can be applied to each supporting system by means of a force generating device and the supporting system can be moved from an idle position into an operating position. According to the invention, the two work rolls can be replaced by work rolls with a different diameter, where only the supporting systems have to be replaced by supporting systems with supporting rolls of a different diameter, but the intermediate rolls and back-up rolls need not be changed.
MULTISTAGE ROLLING MILL
A multistage rolling mill 100 includes support bearings 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, 10e, 10f, 10g, and 10h arranged on the entry side and/or the exit side of work rolls 2a and 2b, and supporting the work rolls 2a and 2b on an work side and a drive side. The offset positions in a pass direction of the pair of work rolls 2a and 2b for rolling a strip 1 are changed by moving in and out the support bearings 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, 10e, 10f, 10g, and 10h to the entry side or the exit side with respect to the pass direction. A multistage rolling mill capable of rolling a hard material efficiently and suitable for obtaining a strip of high product quality is thereby provided.
ADAPTATION OF A ROLL MODEL
A method for operating a storage device for two rolls in a roll stand for rolling metal. The storage device is component part of the roll stand or can be positioned relative to the roll stand so that the rolls can be transferred from the roll stand into the storage device or vice versa. A measuring system is provided which detects the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls individually and independently of one another, at least at predefined detection positions, as viewed in the direction of the roll axes. After transmission to an automation unit that controls the roll stand, the unit can adapt a roll model, by means of which it repeatedly determines the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls, at predefined determination positions, in the direction of the roll axes, using operating data of the roll stand for the rolls of the same type.

The rolling straightening machine includes at least two rollers arranged across a pass line of a pipe or tube material or a bar material, the at least two rollers having a gap therebetween, the gap being defined by an outer-diameter-reducing rolling portion having a diameter reduced from an upstream side toward a downstream side in the rolling straightening machine and a straightening rolling portion continuous from an exit side of the outer-diameter-reducing rolling portion toward a downstream side of the rolling straightening machine, the rollers having shapes which are symmetrical about the pass line in the outer-diameter-reducing rolling portion, and in the straightening rolling portion, asymmetrical to the pass line in the outer-diameter-reducing rolling portion.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A STEEL STRIP AND COATED STEEL SHEET OBTAINABLE THEREBY
A method manufacturing a steel strip, including the subsequent steps of hot rolling the strip into a hot rolled strip, cold rolling the hot rolled strip and hot dip coating the cold rolled strip with a Zn based coating by leading the strip through a bath including molten zinc and wiping the strip after the coating using a gas knife having a knife slot from which a wiping gas is projected and the steel strip is cold rolled to a final cold rolled thickness of between 0.40 mm and 1.00 mm in a multi-stand cold rolling mill, and the coated steel sheet includes a steel substrate provided with a hot dip metal coating.
ROLLING APPARATUS FOR SECONDARY BATTERY ELECTRODE SHEET, CATHODE ELECTRODE MANUFACTURED THEREBY AND SECONDARY BATTERY
A rolling apparatus for a secondary battery electrode sheet, may include: a transfer unit transferring an electrode sheet having an electrode mixture layer applied to at least one surface thereof in a first direction; a rolling roll pressing the electrode sheet in a second direction, intersecting the first direction; and a support portion coupled to a rotational axis of the rolling roll to support rotation of the rolling roll, wherein the rolling roll may have a shape in which a central portion thereof in an axial direction protrudes further toward the electrode sheet than both end portions of thereof in an axial direction.
Strip flatness prediction method considering lateral spread during rolling
The present disclosure provides a strip flatness prediction method considering lateral spread during rolling. The method includes: step 1: acquiring strip parameters, roll parameters and rolling process parameters; step 2: introducing a change factor of a lateral thickness difference before and after rolling and a lateral spread factor by considering lateral metal flow, and constructing a strip flatness prediction model based on the coupling of flatness, crown and lateral spread; step 3: constructing a three-dimensional (3D) finite element model (FEM) of a rolling mill and a strip, simulating strip rolling by the 3D FEM, extracting lateral displacement and thickness data of the strip during a stable rolling stage, calculating parameters of the strip flatness prediction model based on the coupling of flatness, crown and lateral spread; and step 4: predicting the flatness of the strip by the strip flatness prediction model based on the coupling of flatness, crown and lateral spread.
COLD ROLLING OF ROLLED STOCK
