Gas-charging and flanging machine
A gas-charging and flanging machine (10) includes a sealed chamber (13a). The gas-charging and flanging machine is used for carrying out, inside the sealed chamber, charging of a gas into a workpiece (20) and flanging of the workpiece (20) by spinning and pressing. The gas-charging and flanging machine charges a gas into a workpiece and flanges the workpiece on the same machine such that production efficiency can be improved.
A FORMING DIE FOR FORMING AN END OF A TUBE AND A METHOD FOR FORMING AN END OF A TUBE
A forming die system and method is used in end forming a pipe or tube for connecting the pipe or tube with a fitting without a sleeve therebetween. The forming die system includes engageable outer dies that together define a bore having a longitudinal axis, die forming surfaces formed on each outer die, grip dies supported in each of the outer dies and configured to hold the pipe or tube, a biasing member that is engageable between a corresponding one of the outer dies and a corresponding one of the grip dies, and a forming pin that is configured to roll around the longitudinal axis in a circular motion at a predetermined angle relative to the longitudinal axis.
Fabricating method for low cost liquid fueled rocket engines
A method for manufacturing a liquid fueled rocket engine involves forming a first flange in apposition to a top end of a first tube, fixing an injector head to the first flange to form an inner shell liner assembly, shaping the inner shell liner assembly, forming a second flange in apposition to a top end of a second tube, positioning the inner shell assembly inside the second flanged tube and fixing the second flange to the injector head. Rocket engines manufactured using the method have performance superior to existing rocket engines in at least one parameter.
ELECTRIC PIPE EXPANDER
An electric pipe expander and intelligent control circuit for the electric pipe expander are provided. The electric pipe expander includes a pipe expander body and a mandrel sliding cavity disposed on the pipe expander body. A chuck body capable of clamping a pipe to be processed is disposed at an opening end of the mandrel sliding cavity. A mandrel is slidingly connected in the mandrel sliding cavity, an outer side end of the mandrel is provided with an obliquely disposed pipe expanding cone, an inner side end of the mandrel is provided with an elastic body accommodating cavity. Flat keys are disposed on the mandrel, and an elastic body is clamped and disposed between the flat keys and a bottom surface of the elastic body accommodating cavity.
DUCT CUTTING-AND-FORMING DEVICE FOR ELBOW DUCT MANUFACTURING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a duct cutting and forming apparatus for elbow duct manufacturing machine, the apparatus including a rotation housing that is provided with a seating groove in a first direction; an eccentric housing that is provided with a cutting roller and a forming roller at both ends, and that is slidably seated inside the seating groove; a rotation drive for applying rotation driving force to the rotation housing; and an eccentric drive for applying driving force for reciprocating the eccentric housing, wherein the eccentric drive reciprocates the eccentric housing as it rotates in both directions within a range not exceeding 180 degrees.
Multi-axis roll-forming methods, systems, and products
A multi-axis roll-forming method includes simultaneously (a) spinning, about a rotation axis, a spin platter having placed thereon a ring encircling the rotation axis, (b) pressing at least one first roller against outward-facing surface of a first portion of the ring to press the first portion against an outward-facing surface of the spin platter, and (c) forcing a second roller against an outward-facing surface of a second portion of the ring to bend toward the rotation axis the second portion, so as to form a lip extending toward the rotation axis, wherein the step of forcing includes (i) pivoting the second roller against the second portion, and (ii) translating the second roller along the second portion toward the rotation axis.
Flanged inner ring optimized for orbital forming operation and associated tool
Flanged inner ring of a rolling bearing forming part of a wheel hub unit of motor vehicles, having at its axially inner end a rolling edge configured to preload axially a radially inner ring after being plastically deformed by orbital forming. The rolling edge is provided with a conical surface of an axially inner portion of the rolling edge. A first parameter is defined as being the ratio between the conicity of the conical surface expressed in degrees and the thickness of the rolling edge expressed in millimeters and assumes values ranging between 0.03 mm.sup.−1 and 2 mm.sup.−1.
ROLL-FORMING TOOL FOR CREATING A NONCIRCULAR FEATURE, METHOD OF CREATING A NONCIRCULAR FEATURE, AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A PUMP HAVING A NONCIRCULAR JOINT
A tool for roll-forming a noncircular lip of a component includes a central shaft, first and second axles, and first and second rollers. The central shaft has a longitudinal axis. The central shaft is adapted to rotate about the longitudinal axis. The axles extend from and are fixed to the central shaft. The axles have respective first and second lateral axes that extend substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The rollers are rotatably coupled to respective axles, adapted to rotate about the respective lateral axes, radially spaced with respect to the longitudinal axis, and circumferentially spaced with respect to each other. The first and second rollers are adapted to concurrently operably engage the noncircular lip, and deform the noncircular lip.
