Versatile Tubing Straightener
A hand-held tool for straightening tubing such as brake fluid lines in vehicles, the tool provides a housing having an outer covering, internally thereof, a series of sets of rollers, that are adjustable radially, supported by end frames, and intermediate the rollers and the outer covering is an adjuster ring, shiftable longitudinally within the housing, operatively associated with the rollers, such that when the adjuster ring is pulled outwardly, longitudinally, from the tool housing, the rollers shift radially outwardly, for accommodating larger tubing, and when the adjuster ring is pushed inwardly of the housing, the rollers are forced inwardly against smaller diameter tubing, in preparation for its straightening. A sector of the tool, usually along a quadrant, is opened from one end to the other of the tool, so as to allow the tool to be applied to the tubing to be straightened, anywhere along its length, and not only at its ends.
A System for Cleaning, Protecting and Lubricating Hyperbolic Rollers and Bearings Placed in a Rotating Rotor Which is Used for Straightening Wire, Rod or Reinforcing Bar, Using Air and Oil
A system and method for cleaning, protecting and lubricating hyperbolic rollers and bearings for bending, using air and oil, placed in a rotating rotor (1) that contains rollers (32) placed on bearings (34) and shafts (33) inside roller housings (30), where rollers (32) are positioned at an angle with respect to the bending axis and, as bending occurs they cause bending and also as rotor (1) rotates around the item being bent it straightens and feeds the item. Rollers (32) are placed on bearings (34) and are protected through rotational seals (35). The bearings' (34) area of rollers (32) inside the rotational seal (35) is supplied with air at pressure higher than the atmospheric, so that inflow of contaminants are inhibited, or is supplied with air enriched with oil so that bearings (34) are lubricated, and rotational seals (35) located next to bearings (34) of the rollers (32) allow the air flow from the area between the bearings towards the surrounding area.

MACHINE FOR THE WORKING OF TUBES PROVIDED WITH AN OPTICAL SENSOR FOR MEASURING THE FORWARD DISPLACEMENT OF THE TUBE BEING WORKED AND/OR THE ROTATIONAL DISPLACEMENT OF THE SAME ABOUT THE LONGITUDINAL AXIS THEREOF
The machine comprises: a working head carrying appropriate working tools to perform one or more working operations on a tube; a feeding unit for feeding the tube along its longitudinal axis towards the working head; a programmable control unit for controlling the feeding unit and the working head; and an optical sensor arranged to optically measure the forward displacement of the tube being worked along its longitudinal axis and/or the rotational displacement of the tube being worked about its longitudinal axis.
Method for producing a heat transfer tube for steam generator using drawing, solution heat treatment, and straightening
A method for producing a heat transfer tube for a steam generator comprises a step of providing a tube and then applying cold drawing to the tube by using a high-pressure lubricating oil of 40 MPa or more in pressure. After the step of applying cold drawing to the tube, a step of applying a solid solution heat treatment to the tube is conducted. After the step of applying a solid solution heat treatment to the tube, a step of straightening the tube by using a roll straightening machine is conducted. An offset amount of 5 mm or less is formed for at least successive three pairs of upper and lower straightening rolls of the roll straightening machine.

ROLL STRAIGHTENING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELONGATED STRING MEMBER
A roll straightening machine for straightening an elongated string member includes at least one first straightening roll rotatably mounted around a first rotation axis, and at least one second straightening roll rotatably mounted around a second rotation axis. The first and second rotation axis and rolls are oblique with respect to a longitudinal axis of an elongated string member to be received in the roll straightening machine, and also oblique with respect to one another. In order to provide a roll straightening machine that can be set up flexibly for different requirement profiles, the first rotation axis is mounted on a first holding device and the second rotation axis is mounted on a second holding device. The first and the second holding devices are supported by a frame in a removable manner, which is arranged to receive a variable number of holding devices having the straightening rolls.
