Face grooving tool body for metal cutting
A face grooving tool body includes a blade portion having a top surface and an opposite bottom surface, a first side surface and an opposite second side surface, and a front end and an opposite rear end. A longitudinal axis of the blade portion coincides with a primary cutting feed direction of the blade portion. An upper blade portion is associated with the top surface and a lower blade portion is associated with the bottom surface, the upper and lower blade portions being separated by a slit. The second side surface of the lower blade portion is curved around a second side surface axis of curvature parallel to the longitudinal axis. A key hole is formed in the blade portion. The slit includes a slit portion that has the shape of a concave function in a side view.
ROTATABLE TOOL FOR FORMING BY METAL CUTTING A CIRCULAR GROOVE
A rotatable tool for producing a circular groove through metal cutting in a metal work piece and a method of forming the circular groove with the rotatable tool is disclosed. The rotatable tool includes a front end and a second end. The front end includes a first radially outer cutting edge and a second radially inner cutting edge, where the first radially outer cutting edge is located at a larger radial distance from the tool center axis than any other cutting edge of the rotatable tool, and where the second radially inner cutting edge is located at a smaller radial distance from the tool center axis than any other cutting edge of the rotatable tool.
Metal cutting grooving insert for face grooving
A grooving insert includes a front surface and an opposite rear surface, a first side surface and an opposite second side surface, and a top surface and an opposite bottom surface. The top surface includes a top front portion and a top rear portion, the top front portion having a cutting edge arranged symmetrically relative to a first plane. The bottom surface is symmetrically arranged in relation to a second plane, the first plane and the second plane forming an angle () of 0.5-5.0 relative to each other.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES AND METHODS OF MACHINING PIPES AND/OR PIPE FLANGES
In one example, a pipe machining apparatus is provided and includes a frame, a tool carrier coupled to and rotatable relative to the frame, a first machining apparatus including a first tool support and a first tool supported by the first tool support and a second machining apparatus including a bridge member, a second tool support supported by the bridge member, and a second tool supported by the second tool support. The first tool is configured to perform a first machining operation and the second tool is configured to perform a second machining operation different than the first machining operation. The first machining apparatus and the second machining apparatus are interchangeably couplable to and rotatable with the tool carrier.

CUTTING INSERT FOR RECESS MACHINING, CUTTING INSERT KIT HAVING TWO SUCH CUTTING INSERTS, CUTTING INSERT HOLDER FOR SUCH CUTTING INSERTS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A RECESS
The invention relates to a cutting insert holder, having a central axis and at least one first receptacle for fastening a first cutting insert to the cutting insert holder, and having at least one second receptacle for fastening at least one second cutting insert to the cutting insert holder, wherein the first receptacle and the second receptacle are arranged offset from each other in the circumferential direction about the central axis, wherein the first receptacle and the second receptacle are configured and arranged in such a way that a first rake face associated with an active main cutting edge of a first cutting insert arranged in the first receptacle has a first orientation along the circumferential direction, wherein a second rake face associated with an active main cutting edge of a second cutting insert arranged in the second receptacle has a second orientation along the circumferential direction).
Curved face grooving blade and face grooving holder therefor
A curved face grooving blade having a curved grooving portion and a clamping portion connected thereto. The grooving portion having an insert seat defining upward and downward directions. The clamping portion has a bottom wedge surface located in an inward and downward direction relative to the remainder of the clamping portion.
Cutting tool
A cutting tool comprises: a plate member which is provided, at a leading end thereof, edge parts; a support member which supports the plate member so as to cause the edge parts to be projected; and a coolant supply part which has an ejection port and which ejects, from the ejection port, fluid that cools the edge parts. The support member has a non-contact surface which forms a gap with respect to an outer side surface of the plate member. The gap is opened toward a side where the edge parts are provided. The ejection port is arranged in the gap, and the ejection port ejects the fluid toward the plate member.
CUTTING TOOL ASSEMBLY
A cutting tool assembly includes: a tool body extending in a longitudinal direction; a lower jaw extending and protruding forward from the tool body; a clamping portion disposed to be spaced apart from a top surface of the tool body; an upper jaw extending forward from the clamping portion and facing the lower jaw; an elastic connecting portion elastically connecting the tool body and the clamping portion to each other on a rear side of the clamping portion; a clamping screw penetrating the clamping portion downwardly and fastened to the tool body; and an upper coolant channel through which coolant flows, the upper coolant channel penetrating the elastic connection part, the clamping portion, and the upper jaw. In a width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, a width of the clamping portion is in a range of 40% to 80% of a width of the tool body.
