CORE DRILL WITH DETACHABLE END PORTION
20170320236 · 2017-11-09 ·

The invention relates to a core drill with an end portion (3) and a drill bit portion (1-2). The end portion and the drill bit portion are joinable in a watertight fashion with a sealing element (11). The sealing element (11) is provided in a space between the end portion and the drill bit portion, such that it is being compressed in a sealing fashion when the end portion and the drill bit portion are joined. The end portion and the drill bit portion are locked together with a joining element (8, 10) which achieves this locking effect when moves in the radial direction of the core drill. When the joining element moves in this direction, the end portion and the drill bit portion move towards each other. Thus the sealing element is being compressed while concurrently the end portion and the drill bit portion are joined together. This is further achieved without the joining element having to extend in the axial direction of the core drill. Typically, the joining element (8, 10) is constituted by a set screw.

A pocket hole jig with screw sizing system includes a pocket hole jig with a guide block reciprocally carried by a guide holder. The guide block can be raised or lowered relative the guide holder between a range of distances corresponding and calibrated to a horizontal range defined by a workpiece. A scale on a gauge member carried by the guide block is divided into a plurality of zones. An indicator is carried by the guide holder for indicating one of the plurality of zones by the position of the guide block relative the guide holder. Also provided is a series of different size screws, wherein each different size screw of the series corresponds to one of the plurality of zones.

HYDRAULIC EXPANSION CHUCK

The invention relates to a hydraulic expansion chuck comprising a main body (1) that extends along a rotational or longitudinal central axis (2) and is composed of a shaft part (20), for directly or indirectly coupling the hydraulic expansion chuck to a module of a modular tool system or to a machine spindle, and a clamping part (30), joined to the shaft part in a rotationally and axially fixed manner for receiving and clamping a shank tool. The shaft part comprises a receiving socket which extends towards the clamping part and has a central socket-opening in which a connection pin (31) of the clamping part, which pin extends towards the shaft part, is form-fittingly received. According to the invention, the clamping part comprises a stop which is radially offset from the connection pin and axially strikes the receiving socket.

QUICK-RELEASE ELEMENT FOR CONNECTING A CUTTING UNIT TO A HOLDER OF A MACHINE TOOL

A tool coupling extends along a longitudinal axis and has a first component, a second component, and a clamp for fastening the first component to the second component. The first component has a male clamping portion, the second component has a female clamping portion, and the clamp is located in an inner cavity of the second component. The male clamping portion has a first abutment region located axially rearward of a first plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, the inner cavity has a second abutment region located axially forward of the first plane, and the first and second abutment regions face towards the first plane. In a fastened state, a clamp first engagement region of the clamp makes clamping contact with the male clamping portion's first abutment region, and a clamp second engagement region of the clamp makes clamping contact with the inner cavity's second abutment region.
