The tool has an elongate member movable to coaxially extend through a hole in a workpiece from a first side of the workpiece, the workpiece coupled to the apparatus. The tool has a cutter element pivotal between a stowed position on the elongate member, a contact position with an inner surface of the hole, and an extended position extending radially from the elongate member. In the extended position, the cutter element extends to machine and back spotface a surface on a second side of the workpiece opposite the first side. The system has a power system for powering the apparatus and tool, and a measurement system coupled to the apparatus for measuring one or more hole exit positions of the cutter element and one or more surface contact positions of the cutter element on the surface.

Laser signature vision system
The different advantageous embodiments may provide an apparatus comprising a vision system, a drilling tool, and a system controller. The vision system may be configured to generate data about a number of laser signatures on a surface of a workpiece. The drilling tool may be configured to drill a number of holes in the surface of the workpiece. The system controller may be configured to generate drilling instructions for the drilling tool using the data generated by the vision system.
Hand-held power tool
A hand-held power tool is provided which includes a clutch housing of a torque clutch, and a planetary gear, situated in a gear housing, for transmitting a torque which is generated by a drive motor to a drive shaft. The clutch housing cooperates with the planetary gear via a pressure plate. The pressure plate is displaced in the axial direction in order to disengage the torque clutch. The axial relative motion of the pressure plate causes an axial relative motion between a switching element and an associated optical sensor, via which the drive motor may be switched off.
INSTRUMENTED TOOL POST, AND ASSOCIATED TOOL HOLDER
The invention relates to a tool post of a machine tool, which tool post is capable of receiving a cutting insert for machining a component, characterised in that it comprises at least one sensor capable of determining a parameter representative of a cutting action between a component to be machined and a cutting insert, and a support housing (9) which is electrically connected to the sensor and comprises a battery (17) and a printed circuit board (19) supplied with current by said battery (17), wherein said printed circuit board (19) supports, at least partially, a radio transmission unit (11) and the housing (9) consists of a base (21) and a cover (23) which can be detached from one another, and in that the battery (17) is supported by the cover (23) and the printed circuit board (19) by the base (21) or vice versa.
Device system and method for determining a depth of a bore that is produced with the device system
A device system with a device stand, a drilling device arranged displaceably on the device stand for carrying out drilling and a feed device for displacing the core drilling device along the device stand. The feed device has a manual feed device, designed for example as a handwheel or a lever, and the device system has a control device for evaluating measured values. The feed device or the manual feed device e has a sensor for determining measured values, the measured values being used for evaluation and transmitted to the control device, and a starting point and/or an end point of the drilling being detected by the control device through a sudden change in drilling parameters. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a method for determining a depth of a bore, the bore being produced with the proposed device system.
Cutting tool with pressure sensor
A cutting tool comprising at least one cavity spaced apart from an outer contour of the cutting tool by a wear layer, wherein a thickness of the wear layer corresponds to a wear limit of the cutting tool, wherein the cavity is fluidly connected to a supply line arranged within the cutting tool and configured so as to provide a predetermined pressure in the cavity, wherein a pressure sensor fluidly connected to the supply line indicates a wear of the cutting tool when the thickness of the wear layer is reduced to the extent that a pressure change occurs within the supply line.
Component production method and component production system
A component production method includes: a step of binding a long frame by a plurality of support devices arranged along the frame; a step of measuring, with a distance sensor, a distance to the frame supported by the plurality of support devices; a step in which, based on frame shape data prerecorded in a memory, the support devices move support positions where the frame is supported so that a calculated radial position of the frame being supported by the support devices matches the data about the frame shape; a step of fixing the frame in a state in which the data about the frame shape matches the radial position of the frame; and a step of performing a hole-making operation on the fixed frame.
TOOL HOLDER WITH MEASURING APPARATUS
A tool holder is configured for rotation about a tool holder axis of rotation defining an axial direction. The tool holder, at one axial longitudinal end thereof, has a tool section with a tool-receiving formation for receiving a tool and, at the opposite axial longitudinal end, has a coupling section with a coupling formation for torque-transmitting coupling to a machine spindle of a machine tool. A measuring apparatus is configured for acquiring data relating to the operation of the tool holder. The measuring apparatus has a sensor, in particular an acceleration sensor, with at least two measurement axes. The two measurement axes are oriented substantially radially with respect to the tool holder axis of rotation.
