Adapter for a collet chuck, comprising a mounting
A device for heating adapters for mounting tools for use in machine tools. The device comprises a base part in which an adapter for inserting or removing a tool is arranged such that the insertion direction of the tool extends towards the base part. The device also comprises a heating part designed for heating the adapter arranged in the base part, the base part and the heating part being displaceable relative to one another in the insertion direction of the tool. The base part comprises a mounting device for retaining the adapter in a fixed manner on the base part during heating. The adapter and the mounting device are provided with elements for interlocking interaction for retaining the adapter on the base part.
RAPID CHANGE CHUCK ADAPTER
A rapid change chuck adapter system includes a chuck adapter that is removably attachable to the chuck in place of removed chuck teeth. The chuck adapter is operable to engage a collet such that an operation of the chuck as if the chuck teeth were not removed operates the collet via the chuck adapter.
Horizontal lathe
A horizontal lathe for manufacturing a porous optical fiber preform, the horizontal lathe being configured to hold and fix two opposite ends of a target in such a manner that a longitudinal direction of the target is a substantially horizontal direction, and cause the target to be rotated around an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction thereof as a rotation axis. The horizontal lathe includes a thermal expansion absorbing mechanism configured to absorb a change in dimension of the target, the change being due to thermal expansion of the target in a direction of the rotation axis.

Tool assembly for a crafting apparatus
A tool assembly includes a housing, a shaft, a spherical member, and a head. The housing defines a shaft channel. The shaft is rotatably disposed within the shaft channel and includes an exposed portion outside of the shaft channel. The exposed portion defines an engagement channel extending through an outer surface of the exposed portion. The spherical member is disposed within the engagement channel. The head is configured to be engaged with the exposed portion of the shaft. The head includes a detent configured to selectively engage the spherical member.
Clamping device for clamping a tool or work piece
A clamping device has a main body with a bore that extends from a back to a front end thereof. The bore has a fastening area proximate the back end, a front-end axial abutment surface and a central axial abutment surface. A centering sleeve is disposed in the bore and extends axially between a centering sleeve first and second axial end. A guide sleeve is disposed in the bore and partially in the centering sleeve. The guide sleeve extends axially between a guide sleeve first and second axial end. A locking member is removably disposed in the fastening area, has a tapered abutment surface and faces the front end. The centering sleeve is axially retained by and between the tapered abutment surface and the central axial abutment surface. The guide sleeve is axially retained by the tapered abutment surface and the central axial abutment surface.

Automated tool clamping device, tool presetting and/or tool measuring apparatus and method with an automated tool clamping device
An automated tool clamping device, in particular a fully automated tool clamping device is configured for a clamping-in of at least one tool in a tool chuck by a tightening of a union nut of the tool chuck and/or for a declamping of the tool out of the tool chuck by a release of the union nut, and comprises a clamp element, which is at least configured to generate a connection, in particular a clamp connection, with the union nut of the tool chuck, and comprises a torque receiving element, which is at least configured to receive at least a large portion of a torque occurring during a tool clamping process, in particular during a tool clamping-in process and/or a tool declamping process.
Lathe
Provided is a lathe capable of elongating the life of a shifter mechanism. A lathe comprises a spindle, a chucking unit, a power transmitting unit, a shifter, a claw, and a driving unit. The shape of an outer circumference of the shifter in a contact range and a first end of the claw in longitudinal section along the spindle axis is such shape as the acceleration “a” of the first end in the diameter direction with respect to the moving distance of the shifter moving in the direction of the spindle axis (Z-axis direction) at a constant speed is continuous both in a positive range and in a negative range where the contact range is a range of the outer circumference of the shifter in contact with the first end of the claw.
TAP HOLDER
A tap holder having a simple structure and high runout accuracy is provided. A tap holder includes: a body having a collet holder hole having an opening toward distal end; a tap collet received in the collet holder hole, the tap collet having a tap mounting hole located at a distal end portion, and a sleeve hole located at a basal end portion; a torque transmission mechanism that transmits rotation of the body to the tap collet; a first elastic body disposed between the body and the tap collet to urge the tap collet toward distal end; a sleeve disposed to the body by received in the sleeve hole to prevent the tap collet from slipping off toward distal end; and a second elastic body disposed between the sleeve and the tap collet to urge the tap collet toward basal end.
