HOLE SAW INSERT ADAPTER FOR ACCURATELY RE-CUTTING HOLE DIAMETERS
Mistakes are often made when using a hole saw to cut a hole for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC or other uses. Re-cutting a correct hole is difficult and time consuming. This invention enables a user to accurately re-drill a hole to a different diameter with the utilization of a simple insert adapter which saves time, increases productivity and reduces expense.
CUTTER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR CUTTING ALIGNED FULL SIZED HOLES
A cutter assembly for increasing a diameter of an initial pair of holes that includes a first hole defined through a first component and a second hole defined through a second component. The cutter assembly includes a pilot member having a pilot diameter corresponding to a tolerance of misalignment of the first hole and the second hole. Further included is a cutter section associated with the pilot member wherein the cutter section has a cutting diameter larger than the pilot diameter and the cutter section is configured to produce a second pair of aligned holes in the first and second components having a diameter dimension of that of the cutting diameter.
Tool for roughening a borehole surface
A tool for roughening a borehole surface. The tool includes a coupling portion for clamping the tool; a tool head for machining the borehole surface; and an extraction duct. The coupling portion is disposed at a first end of a tool shank and the tool head at an opposite, second end of the tool shank. The tool head has a cutter disposed circumferentially on the tool heat The tool head has a slit, which passes through from one side to the other and which, starting from an end face of the tool head, extends axially along a longitudinal axis of the tool. The extraction duct extends at least partly axially along the longitudinal axis of the tool for extraction of drilling dust. The extraction duct, starting from the end face of the tool head, extends inside the tool shank and discharges circumferentially into a connecting opening in the tool shank.
Apparatus and method for enlarging inner diameter of injector for reactor
A drill assembly and method is provided for enlarging an injector of a reactor. The drill assembly includes an elongated shaft attached to a piloted drill bit including a pilot portion distal from and extending colinearly with the elongated shaft and a cutting portion proximal the elongated shaft and positioned between the pilot portion and the elongated shaft, wherein the cutting portion includes at least one cutting edge extending radially from a center axis of rotation beyond an outer surface of the pilot portion; and a drive device adapted to rotate the elongated shaft about the axis of rotation. The method includes inserting the pilot portion into an injector; and cutting away a portion of an inner surface of the injector with the cutting portion.
METHOD OF MACHINING HOLES AND CHAMFERS IN CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITES
A method of forming an aperture in a ceramic matrix composite material is provided. The method may comprise drilling a pilot hole into the ceramic matrix composite material and spiral machining the pilot hole to enlarge a diameter of the pilot hole, wherein the enlarged pilot hole is the aperture in the ceramic matrix composite material. The method may comprise spiral machining the pilot hole in a radial direction with a tool to enlarge a diameter of the pilot hole until the aperture in the ceramic matrix composite material is formed. The tool may have a first diameter in a section of the tool and a second diameter on either side of the section of the tool or on both sides of the section of the tool, wherein the second diameter is larger than the first diameter.
Tool for roughening a borehole surface
A tool for roughening a borehole surface. The tool includes a coupling portion for clamping the tool in a drilling machine; and a tool head for machining the borehole surface, where the tool head comprises a cutter that is circumferentially disposed on the tool head, and where the tool head has at least one slit, which passes through from one side to the other and which, starting from an end face of the tool head, and extends axially along a longitudinal axis of the tool.
DEVICE FOR CUTTING AND/OR BORING OUT DEBILITATED AND/OR BULGING PIPE LINER, AND METHOD OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A device configured to bore out a section of underground pipe or an interior liner therein without the need to dig out the section of pipe can include a plurality of arms extending radially outwardly from a central shaft. The central shaft can be configured to attach to a tool or a robot. The device can also at least one cutting device extending radially outwardly from the central shaft. The at least one cutting device can be configured to move in unison with the central shaft. rotation of the central shaft can cause the at least one cutting device to contact and cut an interior surface of the underground pipe or the interior liner thereof.
