BANDSAW BLADE ANGLE ADJUSTMENT ASSEMBLY
Embodiments of the innovation relate to a blade angle adjustment assembly, comprising a blade angle adjustment mechanism; a tooth load indicator; and a blade angle controller disposed in electrical communication with the blade angle adjustment mechanism and with the tooth load indicator. The blade angle controller is configured to receive a tooth load indication signal from the tooth load indicator and, the tooth load indication signal, provide a drive signal to the blade angle adjustment mechanism to adjust an angular positon of a bandsaw blade within a cut plane of a workpiece.
Band saw with expanded cutting section
A band saw with an expanded cutting section is provided. The band saw includes left and right semicircular shaped bearing assemblies. A saw blade overlaps the left and right semicircular bearing assemblies. An external housing encloses the left and right bearing assemblies and the saw blade. The expanded cutting section is carved into the external housing and extends in between bottom tips of the left and right bearing assemblies.
Guide insert and saw blade guide for a bandsaw
A guide insert for a saw blade guide for guiding a saw blade, including at least two blade guiding elements held in the guide insert, at least one pair of side blade guiding elements disposed in parallel and at the same height being accommodated in the guide insert, a slot for laterally guiding the saw blade being formed between a first side blade guiding element and a second side blade guiding element in a use position, the blade guiding elements having a rotationally symmetrical shape with respect to an axis of symmetry, including a cylindrical friction surface, the blade guiding elements each being held clamped in a cylindrical recess of the guide insert in a force-fitting and/or form-fitting manner via a loosenable clamp in the use position, and the blade guiding elements being able to be placed from a first rotational position into other rotational positions.
Trunnion mounted blade guide
The present invention relates to a blade guide and a blade guide assembly for adjusting an elongate blade of a sawmill, where the blade having a longitudinal axis. The blade guide includes a guide with a blade surface for lateral contact with the blade, a shaft extending from the guide, a shaft block having a bore extending therethrough, the bore dimensioned to slidably receive the shaft therethrough, and a trunnion block pivotably coupled to the shaft block about a pivot. The pivot is orientated generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the blade, and the trunnion block is adapted to be securable to the sawmill. Thus, pivoting the shaft block and, thereby, the shaft relative to the trunnion block, causes the guide to pivot and angularly adjust the blade about the longitudinal axis.
BLADE TENSIONING SYSTEM AND GAUGE FOR A BAND SAW
A band saw is disclosed that includes a frame, a guide wheel, and a blade disposed around the guide wheel. A guide wheel chassis can be movably disposed on the frame, the guide wheel rotatably disposed on the guide wheel chassis. The band saw can include a blade tension adjustment assembly including a tensioning motor, wherein operation of the tensioning motor produces movement of the guide wheel chassis and the guide wheel relative to the frame to adjust the tension of the blade. A tension gauge can be positioned to determine a tension in the blade, and a controller can be communicated with the tensioning motor and the tension gauge, the controller operable to receive tension data from the tension gauge and control operation of the tensioning motor based on the tension data to control the tension of the blade.
BAND SAW CUTTING EQUIPMENT
The present invention refers to a band saw cutting equipment used, preferably, for the cutting of frozen food products, which has a double band saw cutting system, both in the same cutting plane, with opposite serrated edges on the outside of the said cutting system and with a piece of guidance and separation of the two band saws, that allow the correct position of the band saw to be assured without it bending, maintaining the cutting plane and avoiding that it moves in the cutting plane, avoiding it leaving the pulley system, maintaining a minimum separation between the saws.
PORTABLE BAND SAW
A portable band saw has a substantially equally balanced weight in the lateral direction. The portable band saw includes a battery mount to which a battery is attachable, a motor driven with electric power from the battery, a band saw blade being endless and rotatable with power generated by the motor, a body supporting the motor and the band saw blade, and a handle including a support connected to the body and extending in a vertical direction, and a grip connected to the support and extending in a front-rear direction. The motor has a center on one side of a center of the handle, and the battery has a center on another side of the center of the handle in a lateral direction.
Shoe accessory for a saw
A band saw kit including a band saw and an angle guide. The band saw includes at least one wheel for supporting a saw blade, a motor operable to drive the blade to cut a workpiece, a frame, and a workpiece bumper coupled to the frame. The workpiece bumper includes a slot configured to receive the blade, a first engaging surface defining a first plane, and is configured to be generally perpendicular to the blade as the blade passes through the slot. An angle guide is configured to be coupled to the workpiece bumper and includes a second engaging surface for engaging a workpiece. The second engaging surface defines a second plane. A cut angle is defined by an angle between the second plane and the first plane when the angle guide is coupled to the workpiece bumper.
Band saw vice assembly
A band saw vice assembly for securing a substrate for cutting includes a base that has a first plate coupled to and extending vertically from a first side. A first bar, which is hollow, is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from the first plate. A second plate is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from a sleeve that is positioned around the first bar. A first slot and a second slot, which are aligned and perpendicular to the base, are positioned in the first plate and the second plate, respectively. An actuator, which is operationally coupled to the sleeve, is coupled to and positioned in the first bar. The actuator is positioned to motivate the second plate toward the first plate to frictionally couple to a substrate to fixedly position the substrate. The first and second slots are configured to insert a blade of a band saw to cut the substrate.
SAWMILL SYSTEM WITH BIDIRECTIONAL BANDSAW CAPABILITY USING OPPOSITELY DIRECTED SINGLE-SIDED BLADES
A sawmill for cutting logs in successive bi-directional passes that includes a pair of horizontally extending beams, a carriage assembly and a saw head mounted atop the carriage assembly. The saw head includes a band saw drive source and at least one set of first and second band saw blade wheels. First and second band saw blades partially circumscribe the first and second band saw blade wheels with the cutting edge of the first and second band saw blades directed oppositely from one another so that as the carriage assembly and saw head travel along the frame the log is cut by the first saw blade and as the carriage assembly and saw head reciprocates on the beams in the opposite direction, a second section is cut from the log by the second band saw blade.
