WELDING TORCH COMPRISING A DEVICE FOR FEEDING A CONSUMABLE WELDING WIRE TOWARDS THE TOOL CENTER POINT
A welding torch includes a torch body and at least one device for feeding a consumable welding wire towards the tool center point that has an attachment device for attachment to the torch or an element connected thereto. A base support, which is connected to the attachment device, includes at least two deflection elements for guiding the wire towards the center point. The at least two deflection elements are arranged on the base support so that a first wire path length from the last deflection element located closest to the center point to the center point is shorter than a second wire path length between the last deflection element and a further deflection element as viewed counter to a main wire feed direction, and so that the arcuate wire has a greater segment height along the second path length than the segment height along the first path length.
HARDFACING WITH LOW CARBON STEEL ELECTRODE
A method of hardfacing a metal component includes welding a surface area of the metal component using a Cold Metal Transfer (CMT) process. The method of hardfacing the metal component includes performing the CMT welding process in a weaving pattern over the surface area of the component. A consumable, low carbon steel wire electrode is used in the CMT process.
Methods and apparatus for repairing a tubular structure
Apparatuses and methods for repairing a defect in a nuclear reactor are provided. The apparatus includes a body for insertion in a tubular structure, the body includes: an end effector having a weld torch operable to deposit weld material by forming molten weld droplets and depositing the weld droplets the tubular structure. A drive unit includes a brace for selectively anchoring against said tubular structure; at least one linear actuator for moving the apparatus relative to the brace; and a rotational actuator coupled to rotate the weld torch. The method includes inserting a repair apparatus into tubular structure of the nuclear reactor; moving the repair apparatus to a defect location; depositing a protective weld layer over the defect by sequentially depositing weld droplets atop a weld pool on the tubular structure, wherein the protective weld layer bonds to the tubular structure surrounding the defect.
Systems and methods for wire feed speed control
A welding system including a fine tuning knob and a coarse adjustment knob for setting a weld wire feed speed are provided. The welding system may include a welder having the coarse adjustment knob and a spool gun having the fine tuning knob. A user may adjust the knob on the welder to set a coarse adjustment wire feed speed and may adjust the knob on the spool gun to fine tune the wire feed speed setting.
Method and system for additive manufacturing using high energy source and hot-wire
A method and system to manufacture workpieces employing a high intensity energy source to create a puddle and at least one resistively heated wire which is heated to at or near its melting temperature and deposited into the puddle as droplets.

Electric welder
The present application discloses an electric welder, and relates to a field of an electric welding equipment. The electric welder includes a shell, a welding barrel, a controller and a welding wire feeder; the shell includes a handheld part, and the welding barrel, the controller and the welding wire feeder are installed in the shell; the welding wire feeder is configured for conveying the welding wire into the welding barrel; the controller is configured for controlling a start and a stop of the welding wire feeder and an arcing of the welding wire. The welding barrel, the controller and the welding wire feeder are installed in the shell to form an integral structure, which makes the welder more convenient to carry. In addition, by providing the welding wire feeder, a frequent replacement of the welding rod during a welding process is reduced, and the overall operation is more convenient.
Wire arc accuracy adjustment system
Provided are a systems and methods for continuously providing a metal wire to a welding torch in the correct orientation with respect to the heat source of the welding torch for manufacturing objects by solid freeform fabrication to provide continuous deposition of metal to the freeform object, especially objects made with titanium or titanium alloy, or nickel or nickel alloy, wire.
WELDING TOOL FOR PERFORMING SMAW OR MIG WELD WITH MANTENANCE OFA CONSTANT DISTANCE BETWEEN THE ELECTODE AND THE WELD AREA
A welding tool comprises a main body; a handle attached to the main body to be held by a welder; an electrode attached to the main body; an adjusting device for moving the consumable electrode forward/backward with respect to the main body; a control unit is connected to the adjusting device and is configured to act on the adjusting device for maintaining a substantially constant distance between the electrode and a weld area.
MAGNETIC ELEVATOR DRIVE MEMBER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An illustrative example embodiment of a method of making a rotary magnetic drive member includes establishing a plurality of magnet retainers on a rod using an additive manufacturing process. Magnets are inserted between the retainers with magnetic poles of axially adjacent ones of the magnets oriented with like poles facing toward a portion of one of the retainers between the adjacent ones of the magnets.
