Techniques and devices are disclosed for fabrication layout device. The device includes a table with a work surface. The work surface being a continuous surface and configured to support a plurality of railing pieces for fabrication of a railing assembly. The device further includes a beam located above the work surface. The beam is operatively coupled to the table, such that the beam moves relative to the work surface in a first direction. Attached to the beam is an ink dispenser. The ink dispenser is configured to move along the beam in a second direction different from the first direction. The ink dispenser is further configured to dispense ink onto the work surface of the table in the form of a pattern of the railing assembly. Railing pieces are positioned on the pattern so that they can be assembled to one another.

An electrical switching device and related methods, for use in aerospace applications include a first static contact assembly, a second static contact assembly, a movable contact assembly for making an electrical connection between the first and second static contact assemblies. The first contact assembly, the second contact assembly and the movable contact assembly each include a silver contact that is percussion welded to the aluminum substrate. Before percussion welding, the silver contact includes a projection for focusing an arc during percussion welding.
RESISTANCE SPOT WELD HEAD WITH INTEGRATED ACCELEROMETER
Aspects of this disclosure relate to a welding system that is configured to execute opposed, step, and parallel gap resistance spot welds (RSW) and associated methods. The system may be configured to switch bases to switch between an opposed weld configuration, a step weld configuration, and a parallel gap configuration. The system may include an accelerometer that is secured to the weld head adjacent one of the electrodes. The system may use the accelerometer to determine whether or not an RSW was defective. Acceleration data may indicate a defective weld when it includes acceleration data that is outside of a threshold range of acceptable acceleration data.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MINIMIZING WELD DISTORTION USING PNEUMATIC VIBRATION
A new technique in welding is provided that utilizes vibration during the welding process. The technique requires a pneumatic control panel having a master pneumatic input and dual pneumatic outputs. Each pneumatic output powers a pneumatic vibrator arranged in a particular orientation with respect to the weldment. The vibrators may be arranged such that the axes of rotation of the vibrators are orthogonal to the vector of the weld seam. The vibrators are set using the pneumatic control panel to vibration frequencies that are out of phase sufficient to form a beat frequency in the weldment. The weld produced when the welding occurs during this vibration yields less distortion and stronger and more predictable welds.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MINIMIZING WELD DISTORTION USING PNEUMATIC VIBRATION

Weld electrical and gas connector with sealed gas flow
A welding cable connector system having a male connector and a female connector. The male connector includes a first conductive body for conveying welding power. The male connector also includes a first sealed passageway disposed coaxially of the first conductive body for conveying shielding gas, and a first Schrader valve configured to stop flow of shielding gas when the male connector is not engaged. The female connector includes a second conductive body for conveying welding power. The female connector also includes a second sealed passageway disposed coaxially of the conductive body for conveying shielding gas, and a second Schrader valve configured to stop flow of shielding gas when the female connector is not engaged. The male and female connectors are mutually engageable to conduct welding power and shielding gas therethrough. The first and second Schrader valves seal the flow of shielding gas when the connectors are not mutually engaged.
Metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, method for manufacturing same and pipeline produced using said pipe
The polymeric pipes reinforced with a metal casing are used for transporting oil and gas, acids, alkali products, drinking water and industrial water, and also in the transportation of aggressive and neutral pulps. A metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe includes a welded metal casing and a polymeric matrix having an amorphous-phase-based molecular structure. The metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe is produced by extrusion moulding with simultaneous feeding of a polymer melt and the reinforcing metal casing into the mould cavity, followed by intensive cooling of the internal and external surfaces of the pipe being moulded. The invention increases the quality and endurance limit in the radial direction of the metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, productivity of the process for manufacturing the pipe, and also the strength and technological effectiveness of a pipeline constructed from the pipes produced.
