The machine tool includes a drive operable to rotate the workpiece holding shaft and the workpiece supporting shaft around an axis. The workpiece holding shaft has a work holder configured to secure a workpiece to the workpiece holding shaft. The workpiece holding shaft is axially shiftable relative to the workpiece supporting shaft to adjust a position of the workpiece relative to the workpiece supporting shaft. The machine tool further includes a removable workpiece support, such as a guide bushing, configured to be releasably connected to the workpiece supporting shaft and rotate therewith. The workpiece support slidably contacts the workpiece and permits axial movement of the workpiece relative to the workpiece support.

SPINDLE APPARATUS FOR USE AT A MACHINE TOOL, IN PARTICULAR A LATHE, AND MACHINE TOOL WITH SUCH SPINDLE APPARATUS

A spindle apparatus for use at a machine tool, having: an assembly including a workpiece spindle to receive an elongated workpiece and a motor for driving spindle rotation of the workpiece spindle about a spindle axis; a rotary guide-bush assembly being axially arranged with the workpiece spindle with respect to the spindle axis, the rotary guide-bush assembly receiving the elongated workpiece supported at the rotary guide-bush assembly to rotate about the spindle axis enabling movement of the elongated workpiece; wherein the rotary guide-bush assembly includes a portion to clamp the elongated workpiece, received in the rotary guide-bush and in the workpiece spindle, to transfer driving torque applied from the spindle motor during a driven acceleration of the rotation through the clamped elongated workpiece for rotation of the rotary guide-bush synchronized with the driven acceleration of the rotation of the workpiece spindle.

SPINDLE APPARATUS FOR USE AT A MACHINE TOOL, IN PARTICULAR A LATHE, AND MACHINE TOOL WITH SUCH SPINDLE APPARATUS

A spindle apparatus for use at a machine tool, in particular a lathe, has: a spindle assembly including a workpiece spindle to receive an elongated workpiece and a spindle motor for driving spindle rotation; and a rotary guide-bush assembly axially arranged with the workpiece spindle, the rotary guide-bush assembly including a rotary guide-bush to receive the elongated workpiece and supported at the rotary guide-bush assembly to rotate with the elongated workpiece received in the workpiece spindle about the axis while enabling a movement of the elongated workpiece in the axial direction. The spindle and rotary guide-bush assemblies connect to each other by a torque transferring connection, between the spindle and rotary guide-bush assemblies along the axis to transfer driving torque during acceleration or deceleration of the spindle rotation driven by the spindle motor to the rotary guide-bush of the rotary guide-bush assembly.

MACHINING CENTER FOR MACHINING AN ELONGATE WORKPIECE

Provided is a machining center, in particular a 5-axis milling machine, for machining an elongate workpiece, in particular a turbine blade, including an elongate machine bed extending in a longitudinal direction, a machining device movably retained on the machine bed, two clamping devices, which are retained on the machine bed in such a way that the clamping devices lie opposite each other in the longitudinal direction and which are designed to clamp the free ends of the workpiece and to rotate the clamped workpiece about a workpiece axis of rotation, wherein at least one clamping device can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the machine bed and at least one clamping device has a drive device designed to rotate the clamped workpiece, in particular a stepper motor, and a steady rest, which is retained on the machine bed and positioned between the clamping devices.

Machine tool

In a lathe equipped with a spindle for rotatably driving a work and a tool rest having a turret (rotary member) rotatably supporting a plurality of tools in an indexable manner about a horizontal axis, the tool rest is detachably installed on a tool rest installation portion formed so as to be positioned on an operator side so that the tools of the turret face the work side gripped by the spindle in an attachable and detachable manner.

Damping apparatus

A damping apparatus includes a contact roller provided to be rotatable about a rotation axis, a first support body by which the contact roller is rotatably supported, a second support body holding the first support body so that the rotation axis of the contact roller is parallel to an axis of a spindle, a drive mechanism driving the second support body to bring the contact roller into contact with a workpiece held by the spindle and to separate the contact roller from the workpiece, and a base supporting the second support body and the drive mechanism. The first support body is held by the second support body via an elastic rubber body.

Guide bush control device and method of adjusting guide bush

A guide bush control device includes a guide bush motor that rotates and drives a guide bush; and a controller that controls driving of the guide bush motor, the guide bush control device controlling rotation of the guide bush by controlling the driving of the guide bush motor with the controller, wherein the controller includes a fixing unit that fixes the guide bush non-rotatably by exciting the guide bush motor in a rotation stop state.

Guide bush adjusting device

A guide bush adjusting device includes a drawbar (a mobile body) displaceable relative to a guide bush sleeve (cylindrical body). The drawbar is formed from a screw connection member (a connection member) which is connected to a guide bush housed in the guide bush sleeve (a cylindrical body), and an operation member configured to displace the screw connection member. The guide bush adjusting device adjusts an inner diameter of the guide bush by releasing the operation member from its fixation, displacing the drawbar, moving the guide bush with respect to the guide bush sleeve via the drawbar to thereby position the guide bush, and fixing the operation member of the drawbar (mobile body) at a predetermined position.

Processing machine

A main spindle located in a region of a rotary guide bush device where the rotary guide bush device (has been attached to be disposed in a position of a front (F) along an axis (C) direction when the rotary guide bush device having a guide bush, which is supported in a removable manner by a guide bush-supporting base (supporting base) provided in the front (F) along the axis (C) direction of the main spindle, is removed. A seal member (fixed to the guide bush-supporting base has contact with an outer circumferential surface of a main spindle cover over an entire circumference, so that processing with or without the guide bush can be selected and a complicated process required for switching the processing with or without the guide bush can be simplified.
