Low pressure polishing method and apparatus
09776305 · 2017-10-03 · ·

A low pressure, low speed concrete polishing apparatus and method of cleaning and polishing a floor a polishing pad and interchangeable polymer strips. The interchangeable polymer strips are slideably received within the housing of the pad. The polymer strips have an abrasive material embedded therein which collectively work to polish the floor while cleaning the floor during normal speed floor cleaning conditions.

ABRASIVE TOOL AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREFOR
20210370472 · 2021-12-02 ·

A grinding tool and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The grinding tool includes a plurality of thin teeth (2) which are sequentially spliced and stacked to form an annular structure, wherein every two adjacent thin teeth (2) are fixedly connected, and a groove body (4) is formed between every two adjacent thin teeth (2). The narrower and the more the groove bodies of the grinding tool are, the better the cooling effect is, thus the better the chip-removal effect is. Meanwhile, the manufacturing method for the grinding tool features a machining process having low difficulty and is easy for mass production, thereby facilitating the high-speed and high-efficiency machining of grinding tools with an organic bond and an inorganic bond.

Rotary segmented floor stripping pad
11363934 · 2022-06-21 · ·

The present disclosure provides a segmented rotary floor stripping pad having a plurality of symmetrical, polygonal pad segments secured together in partially overlapping relation to form an annular pad. The segments are preferably formed from non-woven polyester fibers and are secured radially along the overlapping, adjacent side edges by hot melt glue, ultrasonic welding or by stitching. There is no backing pad, and since the segments are symmetrical, the pad is reversible so that both sides can be used. The plurality of pad segments are secured together in an overlapping manner such that each pad segment presents an angled leading cutting edge and each pair of adjacent pad segments forms a radial fluid channel. Depending on the degree of overlap and the thickness of the pad segment, the presentation angle of the cutting edge can be varied.

ABRASIVE ROTARY TOOL

The disclosure provides abrasive rotary tools with enhanced adhesion of an abrasive layer. Exemplary abrasive rotary tools include a securing element configured to secure an abrasive layer to an abrasive rotary tool. The securing element may be positioned over a portion of the abrasive layer, such as a tab or end, such that repeated forces on the abrasive layer do not decouple the abrasive layer from the rotary tool. In this way, an abrasive rotary tool may maintain a contact surface integrity through repeated use for extended life of the rotary tool.

Abrasive tool and method for producing an abrasive tool of this kind

An abrasive tool includes a support, on which a plurality of abrasive flaps is arranged. The abrasive flaps each have a base and abrasive material, which is attached to the base by means of a binder. To increase the useful life and total material abrasion, the abrasive flaps are reinforced by a cured filling resin. The reinforcement of the abrasive flaps reduces the cyclical deflection thereof around a zero position due to workpiece machining, thereby avoiding increased wear on the abrasive flaps.

BILATERAL ABRASIVE DISC PAD
20220080555 · 2022-03-17 ·

A bilateral abrasive disc pad is provided comprising a cylindrical mounting section, an inner annular section, and an outer annular section to which abrasive flaps are attached in an overlapping relationship. The cylindrical mounting section has a central screw-threaded mounting hole for threadedly connecting to a threaded driven shaft of a grinder. The outer annular section of one side is flat, while the outer annular section of the opposing side is convex. The cylindrical mounting section is substantially thicker than the outer annular section such that the ratio of the mass of the outer annular section to the mass of the combination of the cylindrical mounting section and the inner annular section is 2 to 1 or less. Such thickening of the central mounting section reduces runoff and vibration caused by uneven wear of the abrasive flaps and allows the pad to be securely attached to the shaft of the grinder without the need for a mounting nut.
