Adjustable sharpener
An adjustable sharpener including a body having two sharpening slots, a first arm with a first abrasive element connected to a second arm with a second abrasive element, and a third arm with a third abrasive element connected to a fourth arm with a fourth abrasive element. The first and second abrasive elements are positioned in the first sharpening slot, and the third and fourth abrasive elements are positioned in the second sharpening slot. The adjustable sharpener also includes an adjuster connected to the body and an adjustment assembly connected to the adjuster, the first arm and the third arm. Linear movement of the adjuster causes rotational movement of the first arm and the third arm. In this regard, the adjuster allows the user to manually increase or decrease the sharpening angle between the abrasive elements in the sharpening slots.

An adjustable sharpener including a body having two sharpening slots, a first arm with a first abrasive element connected to a second arm with a second abrasive element, and a third arm with a third abrasive element connected to a fourth arm with a fourth abrasive element. The first and second abrasive elements are positioned in the first sharpening slot, and the third and fourth abrasive elements are positioned in the second sharpening slot. The adjustable sharpener also includes an adjuster connected to the body and an adjustment assembly connected to the adjuster, the first arm and the third arm. According to this application there is provided a portable sharpening device. More specifically, a portable sharpening device comprising a body portion comprising a surfacing member, a mouth in communication with the surfacing member, arranged to guide an object to be sharpened towards the surfacing member; wherein the device is arranged to sharpen a face of said object by relative movement between the surfacing member and the object to be sharpened and wherein said relative movement is created manually by a user.

Each upper and lower guide member includes a plurality of apertures sized and shaped for receiving a guide rod that includes a sharpening stone. The knife clamp member further includes embodiments assuring the knife blade is held securely and positioned between the first and second clamping members in the same position in which the knife blade was installed the last time it was sharpened.
