CUTTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CHAMFERING FILM STACK USING THE SAME
A cutting apparatus and a method for chamfering a film stack using the cutting apparatus. The chamfering method reduces microcracks generated in the film stack during curved surface chamfering, reduces the maximum stress applied to the film stack, prevents lifting, and enables processing of a curved surface.

A method for trimming a thermoformed panel comprises the steps of opening a thermoforming mold to reveal the thermoformed panel, attaching a robotic arm holding means to the thermoformed panel, removing the thermoformed panel from the thermoforming mold by the robotic arm holding means, repositioning the robotic arm holding means over a trimming table, the table comprising a cutting router affixed to the table bed, moving the robotic arm holding means relative to the cutting router in directions to trim all edges of the panel to required panel dimensions, moving the robotic arm and trimmed panel to a panel collection station, and depositing the trimmed panel at the collection station, wherein the directional movement of the robotic arm is controlled by input from 3-dimensional drawing software of the final shape of the thermoformed panel, and wherein the thermoformed panel is of a polymeric material.

A cutting device and a cutting method, comprising: a blade receiving portion crossing a cord-embedded rubber sheet member is disposed in one surface side in a thickness direction of the rubber sheet member placed in a conveying mechanism. A cutting blade disposed in the other surface side is held by a holder that rotates about a turning shaft extending in the thickness direction of the rubber sheet member. In a state in which a cutting-edge advancement direction turns about the turning shaft, a turning restoring force that restores the cutting-edge advancement direction to a preset moving direction is constantly applied by a turning restoring mechanism to the cutting blade before cutting the rubber sheet member. The rubber sheet member is sandwiched in the thickness direction by the cutting blade and the blade receiving portion, and the cutting blade is moved in the extension direction of cords.

The invention relates to a ultrasonic cutter for the cutting of edge chamfers of plate-shaped workpieces, having a cutter head (1) which forms an axis of rotation (6) and having a blade (2), which extends from the cutter head (1) and forms a cutting wedge, terminating in a straight cutting edge (5), between flank and contact faces (3, 4) determined by the wedge angle. In order to create advantageous structural conditions, it is proposed that the axis of rotation (6) extending on the blade side of the flank face (3) is at a distance (e) from the flank face (3) which is equal to or greater than the distance (s) of the centre of mass (S) of the blade (2) from the flank face (3), and that the cutting edge (5) extending in the direction of the axis of rotation (6) extends at a distance (a) from the axis of rotation (6) which corresponds at most to the blade thickness (d).

Systems and methods are provided for scraping tools for edging composite parts. One embodiment is an apparatus that includes a scraping tool. The scraping tool includes a base member, a first wall upwardly extending from a first side of the base member, a second wall upwardly extending from a second side of the base member, and a channel defined by the base member, the first wall, and the second wall. The scraping tool further includes a first blade mount within the channel that is fixed to the first wall, and a second blade mount within the channel that is fixed to the second wall. The first blade mount secures a blade oriented oblique to the base member, and the second blade mount secures a blade oriented oblique to the base member.
Scraping tools that deburr multiple edges of a part
Systems and methods are provided for scraping tools for edging composite parts. One embodiment is an apparatus that includes a scraping tool. The scraping tool includes a base member, a first wall upwardly extending from a first side of the base member, a second wall upwardly extending from a second side of the base member, and a channel defined by the base member, the first wall, and the second wall. The scraping tool further includes a first blade mount within the channel that is fixed to the first wall, and a second blade mount within the channel that is fixed to the second wall. The first blade mount secures a blade oriented oblique to the base member, and the second blade mount secures a blade oriented oblique to the base member.

An edge break apparatus including a frame having a first workpiece interface surface, a second workpiece interface surface arranged relative to the first workpiece interface surface so as to form a predetermined angle between the first workpiece surface and the second workpiece surface, and a first aperture extending through the frame so as to intersect the predetermined angle, and an edge break member extending through and interfaced with the first aperture so as to adjustably define a cutting depth of the edge break member relative to an apex of the predetermined angle.
TRIMMER AND TRIMMING METHOD
A trimmer trims a bound material at end portions and/or corner portions of the bound material. The trimmer has a table (2), a pressing unit (4), a trimming mechanism (5) that has a trimming blade (52) and moves the trimming blade (52) to the trimming position, a rotation mechanism (3) that rotates the table (2), a rotation control unit that is operatively connected to the rotation mechanism (3) in such a way that a predetermined trimming line of the bound material positioned parallel to a longitudinal direction of the trimming blade (52), a moving mechanism (6) that moves the trimming mechanism (5) in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the trimming blade (52), and a movement control unit that is operatively connected to the moving mechanism (6) so as to move the trimming mechanism and align the trimming line and the trimming position with each other.
