INSERT FEED UNIT AS WELL AS A METHOD FOR ITS OPERATION
In order to keep the overall length of an insertion feed unit small despite high variability, a vertical paternoster buffer is used as a buffer therein.
Bread Slicer
A bread slicer includes an infeed side and a hollow infeed assembly positioned in the infeed side, the infeed assembly having an open end and a closed end defining a chamber for receiving bread to be sliced. The bread slicer further includes a pusher for pushing the bread to be sliced along the infeed assembly, and a linkage connected to the pusher, the linkage adapted to move the infeed assembly from a bread receiving position to a predetermined position of a bread path, the linkage adapted to then move the pusher and the bread to be sliced along the bread path from the predetermined position to a delivery area. The bread slicer further includes slicing blades having sharp edges to slice bread moving along the bread path.

Method of operating a flat-bed die cutter
In a method of operating a flat-bed die-cutter a printing substrate in the form of a web is fed to a die-cutting module of the flat-bed die-cutter, a web section is severed from the web and removed as waste. The web is guided through the die-cutting module and the web section is severed from the web in or downstream of the die-cutting module and removed as waste. Products are thus formed by die-cutting a web while reducing waste and periods of standstill.

CONFIGURABLE ASSEMBLY FOR CONVEYING PRODUCTS, IN PARTICULAR SLICED FOOD PRODUCTS
A configurable assembly is provided for conveying products along a longitudinal direction; the assembly has a supporting structure and at least two conveyor units; at least one of said units is provided with at least two tracks which receive, in use, respective products and diverge from or converge towards each other along a lateral direction, proceeding longitudinally from an inlet to an outlet; the units are movable with respect to the supporting structure by the action of an actuator device between a working area and at least one storage area, so as to selectively arrange one of said units in the working area.
Food processing apparatus and method for sequentially scanning food products
The present disclosure relates to a food processing apparatus with a scanner with a scanning unit for determining properties of a food product, in particular a food bar, with at least two substantially parallel separately drivable conveyor tracks for supplying the food products to the scanner, and with a control unit for controlling the drive of the conveyor tracks. According to the disclosure, the control unit is adapted to separately control the drive of the conveyor tracks to convey at least one food product of a first conveyor track and at least one food product of a further conveyor track sequentially through a scanning area of the scanner. The disclosure further relates to a method for scanning food products.

Sheet punching apparatus
A sheet punching apparatus includes a waste box formed of insulating resin, a detection sensor provided in the waste box and configured to detect the amount of paper chips in the waste box, and a conductive member disposed such that at least a part thereof is positioned in midair in the waste box below the detection sensor. With this configuration, erroneous detection of the detection sensor can be prevented.
