Manhole base assembly with internal liner and method of manufacturing same

A manhole base assembly and a method for making the same employ a non-cylindrical, low-volume concrete base that is fully lined to protect the concrete against chemical and physical attack while in service. This lined concrete manhole base assembly may be readily produced using a modular manhole form assembly which can be configured for a wide variety of geometrical configurations compatible with, e.g., varying pipe angles, elevations and sizes. The form assembly is configurable to provide any desired angle and elevation for the pipe apertures to interface with various underground systems, and can be formed on-site to facilitate compatibility with existing structures. The assembly provides for flexible, modular construction of a wide variety of lined manhole base assemblies at minimal cost, reduced concrete consumption and reduced operational complexity. The modular nature of the production form assembly also facilitates reduced inventory requirements when various manhole base assembly geometries are needed.

POSITIONING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A REINFORCED CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL BODY
20190292767 · 2019-09-26 ·

A positioning device and method for producing a construction material body. The positioning device holds and orients a reinforcement body consisting of a textile reinforcement within a formwork. The positioning device comprises first and second holding part groups arranged on a main body. At least one of the two holding part groups is movable between holding and release positions. In the holding position, each holding part acts on an associated location of engagement on the reinforcement body. In the release position, the distance between the holding parts is different from the distance between the locations of engagement on the reinforcement body, such that the positioning device is brought into engagement with the reinforcement body or can be removed therefrom. In the release position, independent handling of the positioning device relative to the reinforcement body is possible. To switch between the holding and release positions, an actuation device is provided.

CONCRETE PANEL ASSEMBLY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
20240149493 · 2024-05-09 · ·

A concrete panel assembly system features a panel casting apparatus, a panel trailer, and a divider trailer. The panel casting apparatus includes two outer forms that surround a plurality of dividers and concrete receiving inserts. The concrete receiving inserts are custom assembled at an offsite factory and transported to the jobsite without concrete. A conveyor then moves a concrete hopper from one side of the panel casting apparatus to the other while selectively pouring concrete vertically into each concrete receiving insert via a plurality of dispenser valves. Chains and threaded compression rods are fastened across the panel casting apparatus to properly shape and set up the concrete. A surrounding platform with towers couplable to a fall restraint system enables users to safely supervise the casting process. Upon curing, the concrete wall panels are removed by crane and transported to a nearby building for final installation.

Clip

In summary, the invention provides a clip for use in the construction of a reinforced concrete panel, the panel being reinforced by a mesh comprising a plurality of parallel line wires and a plurality of parallel cross-wires connected to the line wires, the clip comprising: a base configured to engage a side wall that, in use, defines a formwork of the panel; and a body extending from the base, the body being configured to retain a line wire or a cross-wire of the mesh in an operative position of the mesh.

Method for Producing a Textile-reinforced Construction Material Component, and Tensioning Device for Same
20180370072 · 2018-12-27 ·

A method for producing a three-dimensional construction material component preferably having at least one curved surface. A plurality of spacers are arranged in a formwork. A textile reinforcement is supported on the spacers, such that the textile reinforcement has a defined position within a formwork interior of the formwork. A tensile force is applied via a tensioning device to the textile reinforcement in at least one tension direction. Construction material is introduced into the formwork interior and surrounds the textile reinforcement. The construction material is then hardened, wherein the tensile force is maintained during the hardening. During this process, the spacers are integrated into the construction material component. The tensioning device has at least one clamping unit for clamping an end portion of the textile reinforcement between two clamping surfaces. The clamping surfaces are provided on clamping insert bodies, which are of a plastic material of a defined hardness.
