Presented are manufacturing systems, methods, and devices for forming footwear using scrap or waste plastic materials. A method for manufacturing an article of footwear, such as an athletic shoe, begins with receiving a batch of recycled plastic, which may include thermoplastic elastomers or ethylene-vinyl acetate, and grinding the batch of recycled plastic material. The ground recycled material is processed, for example, by adding a foaming agent that activates at elevated temperatures. The processed recycled material is placed into the internal cavity of a final mold that is shaped like a segment of the footwear, such as a unitary sole structure. To form the footwear segment, the processed recycled material is heated past the threshold activation temperature of the foaming agent such that the foaming agent causes the recycled material to expand and fill the internal cavity of the final mold. The formed footwear segment is then extracted from the mold.

The invention relates to a resin composition comprising at least an organophosphorous compound and a branched amorphous carboxylic acid functional polyester, said polyester having a T.sub.g of at least 40 C., said polyester comprising at least 1 to 45% mol of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol; a C.sub.3 to C.sub.5 aliphatic diol AD1 not including 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol; a C.sub.6 to C.sub.50 aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diol AD2; 0.1 to 10% mol of an at least trifunctional monomer; 1 to 55% mol of terephthalic acid, wherein the % mol is based on the polyester. The powder coatings of the present invention derived upon curing at low temperature of the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention that were storage stable and comprised said resin composition and a crosslinker having functional groups that are reactive with the carboxylic acid groups of the polyester, have limited or no blooming, good smoothness sufficient reverse impact resistance and preferably have also good degassing limit.

After shaping and curing a composite material around the molds covered with the erosion resistant coating, the molds are removed, while the erosion resistant coating remains on the composite impeller.

In some examples described, a composite product has a simulated surface, for example a stone-effect surface formed by pressing a particulate-form surface material (30) and a sheet-form curable material (40) onto a substrate (44) having an open-celled structure. In other examples, a laminate product having a veneer is formed by pressing a veneer and a sheet-form material onto a substrate including a porous structure. The veneer may comprise a wood material. In other examples, a surface effect material is bonded to a skin by pressing a sheet-form curable material to a mold surface and the surface effect material. Where the surface effect material has a high thermal conductivity, the composite product formed can feel cool to the touch.

The present invention relates to a painted molding article in which a paint composition is painted in a molding part formed of an injection molding thermoplastic resin composition, and the injection molding thermoplastic resin composition comprises: (a) a base resin including polyamide (a-1) and polyphenylene ether (a-2); (b) an impact modifier; and (c) a carbon fibril, wherein the polyamide (a-1) forms a matrix phase of the injection molding thermoplastic resin composition, the polyphenylene ether (a-2) and the impact modifier (b) form a domain phase of the injection molding thermoplastic resin composition, the carbon fibril (c) is dispersed on the domain phase and the matrix phase, the content of the carbon fibril (c) dispersed on the matrix phase is higher than the content of the carbon fibril (c) dispersed on the domain phase, and the ratio of weight of the carbon fibril (c) to weight of the polyamide (a-1) may be 0.006 to 0.03.
