Reinforced thermoplastic and fabric injection overmolding
An LWRT plus fabric injection overmolding process for the direct injection molding of thermoplastic features onto the B-side of a formed, finished Light Weight Reinforced Thermoplastic panel. The panel having an A-side finish cloth, non-woven, TPO, Vinyl or similar material placed into the injection molding press and injection molding tool, and then the features are injection molded onto the panel without damaging the A-side finish.

A molding condition setting device acquires data showing a state of an injection molding machine, calculates a feature showing the state of the injection molding machine on a basis of the acquired data, and calculates a feature fluctuation rate obtained by normalizing the feature on a basis of a reference value selected from among the features according to a prescribed condition. The inner layer includes a first polymeric material and forms an inside surface of the container. The outer layer includes the first polymeric material and forms an outside surface of the container. The barrier layer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer and includes a second polymeric material less permeable to gas than the first polymeric material. The barrier layer is biased toward the inside surface or the outside surface such that the inner layer and the outer layer have different thicknesses.

The mold condition includes at least one type of condition including: the resin material to be injected to the magnet insertion hole, an injection amount of the resin material, and a discharge position of the resin material. A mold device is controlled to inject the resin material to the magnet insertion hole in accordance with the mold condition.
Method for setting molding conditions of injection-molding equipment
A system for setting injection-molding conditions and a method for setting actual molding conditions of an injection-molding machine are disclosed. The system includes a computer and an injection-molding equipment. The computer is configured to simulate, via computer-aided simulation software, a virtual molding using a plurality of design parameters to generate a plurality of provisional molding conditions. The injection-molding equipment is associated with the computer and configured to perform at least one trial molding using the provisional molding conditions to obtain a plurality of intermediate molding conditions. The computer optimizes the provisional molding conditions to obtain actual molding conditions in accordance with the intermediate molding conditions.

CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COINJECTION MOLDING MULTI-LAYER CONTAINERS
A system for coinjection molding a multi-layer container includes an injection molding apparatus, a camera, and a controller. The injection molding apparatus is configured to coinject a plurality of polymeric materials into a mold cavity to form a multi-layer container including an inner layer, an outer layer, and a barrier layer located between the inner layer and the outer layer. The camera is configured to capture an image indicating a location of the barrier layer within the multi-layer container. The controller is configured to monitor the location of the barrier layer using the image captured by the camera, compare the location of the barrier layer to a threshold location, and provide a control signal to the injection molding apparatus based on the location of the barrier layer relative to the threshold location.
