Method and device for producing a plurality of microlenses
Device and method for producing a plurality of microlenses from a lens material. The method includes: applying lens material intended for the embossing of the microlenses to a plurality of first lens molds distributed on a first embossing side of a first die for embossing of the microlenses, moving the first die and a second die located essentially parallel, in an X-Y plane, and opposite the first die, on top of one another in a Z-direction running essentially perpendicular to the X-Y plane, embossing the microlenses by shaping and curing the lens material, the shaping taking place by moving the first and second embossing sides on top of one another, up to a thickness D.sub.1 of the lens material in the Z-direction, wherein the lens material of each microlens at least during curing is separate from the lens material of each microlens which is adjacent in the X-Y plane.
Mold interlocks
A mold bushing assembly includes a pin member for assembly to a first mold portion and a bushing member for assembly to a second mold portion. The pin member includes a projection that includes a land portion and a guide portion, with the land portion being cylindrical and having an axial length, and with the guide portion extending from the land portion and having a varying cross sectional diameter that decreases from the land portion. The bushing member includes a bushing cavity into which the projection at least partially extends when the first and second mold portions are engaged with at least a portion of the land portion extending into the bushing cavity to aid in accurate alignment of the mold portions.
MOLDING TOOL ASSEMBLY
A molding tool assembly, in particular for producing rotor blades of wind power plants, having a first mold shell (20) and a second mold shell (22) each for receiving one workpiece part, wherein the two mold shells in a proximal position face one another but do not bear on one another, having securing means for holding a workpiece part in at least one of the mold shells and having centering means for mutually centering the two mold shells in the proximal position or during convergence of the mold shells. The centering means and the securing means are mechanically intercoupled.
Contact lens mold parts, contact lens mold assemblies, and methods of making contact lenses
A contact lens mold part and a contact lens mold assembly (1) are provided. The contact lens mold assembly includes a first mold part (2) and a second mold part (3) assembled together. Each mold part has a lens-forming surface with a circumferential edge, a stop surface extending from the circumferential edge, an intermediate region extending from the stop surface, and an alignment surface extending from the intermediate region. The mold parts can be made to fit together with an interference fit. A method of making a contact lens using the contact lens mold assembly is also provided.
Tilting Measurement of a Thermoforming Mould
A thermoforming mould for producing cup-shaped articles from a heated film of plastic is provided. The thermoforming mould comprises a first mould part and a second mould part which are movable in relation to one another, wherein at least one cavity for moulding a cup-shaped article is formed in one of the two mould parts. The thermoforming mould also comprises a measuring device which is designed to determine a tilting of the first mould part and the second mould part with respect to one another. Furthermore, a thermoforming machine comprising the thermoforming mould and also a method for determining a tilting between a first mould part and a second mould part of a thermoforming mould are provided.
MOULD ASSEMBLY FOR FORMING A SPLICED JOINT IN A HANDRAIL OR OTHER ELONGATE ARTICLE
A core mould element can be mounted between first and second mould parts. The first and second mould parts and the core mould element can be mounted between first and second thermal platens. The thermal platens can have generally planar faces for mounting in a press, for maintaining a desired pressure within the mould assembly. The thermal platens can provide for heating and cooling the mould assembly, and each can include a central portion and end portions, with thermal breaks between the central portion and the end portions. Bores can extend through the central and end portions, for receiving heating elements and pipes for cooling fluid. The end portions can include bores for a cooling fluid for cooling the end portions.
Positioning device with multi-directional lock
A positioning device for aligning and guiding a first half and a second half of a mold together. The positioning device may comprise a housing including identical wall members configured to define a cavity. A first member may be slidably disposed within the cavity defined by the housing. The first member may comprise a base and a plurality of walls extending from said base, wherein the plurality of walls is configured to define a void with an opening opposite the base. The first member may further comprise a post extending from the base opposite the plurality of walls and a ring disposed radially about a portion of the post, wherein the ring is configured to retain the first member within the housing. The positioning device may further comprise a second member comprising a base and a protrusion, wherein the protrusion is configured to matingly engage the void of the member.
Mold for forming composite preforms with high precision
A mold for molding a composite preform that has an outer edge thereabout and a plurality of tethers each attached at respective opposed ends thereof to the outer edge. The mold includes first and second mold halves defining a mold body and being configured to transition between an open position and a generally closed position, and a plurality of moveable members each having a moveable gage pin configured for being wrapped thereabout by a respective one of the tethers and a respective actuator configured for moving the moveable gage pin between a respective first position in which the respective moveable gage pin is disposed at a respective first distance from a center of the mold body and a respective second position in which the respective moveable gage pin is disposed at a respective second distance from the center of the mold body that is less than the first distance.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOLDED BODY AND MOLDED BODY
By using key structures which allow an unambiguous relative positioning, it is possible to produce mold blanks consisting of several layers, from which molded bodies can be produced by machining in an automated manner. These bodies may not only have an irregular but predefined shape, but they also have at least one irregular but predefined parting surface between two layers, the positioning on this parting surface relative to the surface being predefined.
